That's why I said that depends on the situation. With that being said, maybe you might want to avoid overheating it too much if you go with the S7. Just as an advice.

Yes, definitely.

If the brand themselves got everything right in the next update of course. biggrin.gif

Jz remembered about the amoled vs lcd. Doesn't the amoled save battery much more compare to lcd ? Or just minimum compared to the optimization

AMOLED should save more battery life compared to LCD. This all depends on your usage however.

Btw which phone would u suggest for normal usage. Putting aside the gimmicks of each and also camera.

Do you mean between Galaxy S7 and HTC 10?

Or this time you want recommendations for other phones? If so, what are your requirements?

I need some help on replacing my current S4

1. Brand: Android preferably Samsung.
2. Budget: 1.5k +- 200
3. Specs: Don't really interested in any fancy features/camera/fingerprint yada yada since I'm using it mainly for gaming/browsing/basic features. My current S4 can't really play game smoothly as it will become laggy the longer I play and it will heat up quite fast. Plus, S4 didn't support 4G mobile data. Also need the GPS for Pogo.
4. Type/Size: Any

Thx in advance! laugh.gif

Back again because my G4 died a year later and it would be a waste to fix it anyway, so here goes:

1. Brand: No more Samsung, China branded phone and LG.
2. Budget: less than RM 2000
3. Specs:
- Android 6.0 with upgrade to 7.0
- Great camera and multimedia suite
- MicroSD card storage (MUST)
- If possible removable battery
- Can handle heavy browsing and gaming
- Durable battery life
4. Type/Size: 5" and above, I have big hands tongue.gif

I know it's a lot to ask for but hope this narrows down the choices I have biggrin.gif

If you exclude Samsung, China brands and LG from the list, you would be left with overpriced mid range phones. Hence, those phones might not live up to your requirements.

But anyways, what I recommend based on your brand preference are...

Sony Xperia X (you can get it cheaper online)
Sony Xperia XA Ultra
Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL

However, if you're still fine with China brand phones and Samsung...

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro
Huawei Mate 8 (32GB)
Honor 8 (64GB)
ZTE Axon 7

Thanks for the feedback anyway, the xperia XA Ultra looks enticing though but what's the trade off compared to the xperia x?

XA Ultra has weaker chipset, lesser storage, weaker camera, slightly weaker battery life, no fingerprint scanner, lacking some sensors (gyroscope and barometer), no wifi AC.

But price rm1699. You can use coupon to decrease the price.

RM1699 still acceptable for me.

I am still waiting for Xiaomi to announce their latest flagship, Mi5S, see what it offer. I am willing to increase my budget a little bit just to get better phone.
