Deloitte's bootcamp has been rescheduled, it was held last Saturday. I am not sure if they will have another session in August.

Normally how many gets recruited into deloitte after the bootcamp, lets say 30 students, and out of that only 10?

My friend being considered for IT advisory service line despite being an engineering fresh grad, and will be interviewed soon. I want to apply too through the same recruiter, but just don't know how to prepare for the interview given that I have no IT background? Is this common

Oh, didn't know that. You went for it? How was it?
*
Nope, I was invited but did not attend. From the agenda, it seems to be pretty intense with 3 stages - an interview + 2 case study sessions.

There's a boot camp nowadays? Back in my day you attended an interview with a manager and if you ace that you're in. Welcome to three years of enjoyable, not exactly well paid modern day slavery lol.

Hi everyone,
I'm going for internship end of this year. I'm looking into audit line especially Big 4 (PwC,Deloitte,EY,KPMG) and BDO in Penang. Anyone having any idea about these firms (any suggestions)? I've tried searching but the most I can get are threads that is either way back in the past or info based in KL firms.
Thanks!

Got the offer from KPMG and EY but reject KPMG.. Because salary wise and culture in EY is better.. Gonna start to work in Sept smile.gif

tips for interview: Confident , confident and confident
When interviewer throw you a hard question, dun panic, and answer the question firmly either it is correct or wrong

It depends on your hardwork. The more well performing you are, the more the senior will like you and book you, so different people has different portfolio depending on your performance. Quite unlikely that you're only given one client as each engagement only last for a few months max, impossible you would be rotting for the remaining months. Unless it's during off peak period, and worse if you're an intern, then it's possible that you might only have one client to work with.

Try to get into Big 4 if possible. The brand name is much better than BDO.

To be honest, if someone is accepted into a Big 4, it is very unlikely that he will choose BDO over a Big 4.

Some people might argue that you may be able to learn more stuff in BDO, but with a Big 4 internship experience, the chances of working in Big 4 after you graduate will be higher.
