Does having first class and second upper affected a lot? Over here at KPMG my colleague in treasury(able to switch different departments every 3 months) is getting 3.5k gross while me (full time) getting 3k gross.

He’s a JPA scholar and I’m a regular second upper class dude. Does the results affected this much ? 500 ringgit difference ?

Err...result good doesn't mean those will be equally good at work, I've been seeing ACCA top scorer/prize winner failed the probation, job assessment from us (seniors) to them was "low performer/under performing" at work.

I was from big 4 audit, and I was also a 3rd class degree student. When your result doesn't look good, don't feel sad, it's not the end of the world. I did part time ACCA after that and passed all the papers (of course have failures).

Secondly, MONEY. Frankly speaking, is money really your top concerning factor? Please la...think again why do you step into audit when you already know the toughness and tiredness? It's all about gaining knowledge, you will be amazed of your career progression when you compare yourself to non-auditor classmates. I can guarantee you outshine among them, in terms of knowledge and technical skills/Microsoft Excel skills. Now I happily moved out from audit and worked in commercial.

Remember, very important that you performed good during the interview. Happy peak period!

Great advise but I’m not from audit background. I’m a data analyst haha. I’m looking to move out to IT companies which suits my job nature though

No clear requirement but the general preference:
1) Pass all first attempt + prize winner
2) Pass all first attempt
3) Pass all (but failed some before)
4) Pending 1 or 2 paper but you have a degree (Ie: OBU)
I think your interview performance matters more but Big4 interview for fresh grad is quite standard so as long as HR called you for interview, its left for you not to screw it up.

Hi, may I know has anyone interned in any of Big 4 before? If possible, may I know how was your experience as well?

The reason why am I asking these is because my lecturers discourage me to intern in Big 4 as they provide lesser exposure to internship students... May I know is it true?
