How?

You like what you see with Homer's result?

Do you think market will find it acceptable/satisfied with a mere 6% growth?
( * remember during boom boom time Homer was hitting high double digit growth, sometimes triple digit too! * )

Are you satisfied with the announced dividend?
*
I can't find/calculate the 6% growth that you used....

Quick/Noob glance everything seems OK and nothing/major disappointmenti think...

Q-Q PBT decrease by around 20% is what i've noticed due to weakening USD...

Dividend is just a bonus i think... so no comment...

6% is the q-q comparison where you compare current quarter vs previous year same quarter.

This is how one does q comparison and not like q1 vs q2 type of comparisons.

Disappointment is subjctive cos the market reaction sometimes differ than our own.
One with an investor mindest might argue that everything still ok.
But then what about the traders?
Can they accept such lower growth?

But with such drastic drop in growth rate.....
would it be enough to seduce new buyers to the stock?

Ah yeah the -20%+ is q2 and q3, mistaken.

Attached Image

Based on the attachment, there's no 6%? Instead it decrease by 8%...

Yea in the end is up to the big players to do their own judgement and see how it moves tomorrow. So my opinion dun matter at the end of the day. Perhaps can try to find out or guess if it moves out of my expectation

Q-Q not so good, but 9M-9M is still ok isn't it?

Well lets see tomorrow ba.

6.474 vs 6.087 ~ 6%

This is not to say our opinion matter or don't matter.
We are trader right?
So we think like a trader.
And not think like investor.

when we think like investor...
sometimes... we run the risk of finding why the stock is still good.
yes, thanks to previous weakness in the ringgit....
the current 9 month profit vs previous year is still looking fantastic...
but the market prices stock to what they think of the stock future prospect...
with such lower growth...
the expected future earnings will be re-rate lower.....
which will cause some traders uneasy.....

and when we think like a trader...
trader likes to be in stock with buying interests (make sense?)
the stock must be in demand....

simple reasons why a stock will be in demand...
better earnings prospect/takeover prospect/etc etc.....

so like I said...
the key now...
would lower growth rate be enough to seduce new buyers to the stock?
if no new buying demand.... how then can the stock go up? rolleyes.gif

ps:
think for yourself lo...
I am not here to persuade you I am right...
many times my reasoning is wrong one....
yeah I am but a lowya keyboard warrior.... LOL!

Adui i keep finding where is the 6% is it revenue or etc etc lol. Paiseh .

Well actually my main reason/opinion is the TA where it made a breakout from its consolidation on 1st of June with volume. So it did caught my attention. But it moved back down into the consolidation area with much higher volume. So i just look see look see on the fundamental to see anything wrong.

On the investor part, yea it can be dangerous if one think that "Oh the TA does not really look good, but the fundamental seems ok so no harm holding"...

Yea one could say that the growth is lower, but on the buying interest part, one could also say "well if the profit keeps growing eventually the share price would catch up"...Well on the fundamental side, see how you wan to see so is all subjective, hard to say one is right or wrong with iron clad rule... so that's why i'm quite weak in this part....

Well normally in a forum is for us to learn from each other perspective and not to convince who's right or wrong lo in my opinion. Don't worry too much bout the persuading part or right or wrong

P.S:So late you still awake or you already awake? Lol. Take good care of your health yo!

Onion dude.... smile.gif

1. what interest me or not SHOULD NEVER be the issue.
try to stop such thinking, else you would fall into the trap of playing the FOLLOWing game....
which will have one end result... which is .... will the stop stock go up or not.
it's not healthy.
make your own risk assessment.

2. I am a trader and I think like a trader. (sheeeet this is a trader's thread, isn't it? )

so the issue about the free cash flow
the free cash flow has ALWAYS been a positive issue for the stock.
I highlighted it a couple of years ago.
yeah. a couple of years ago.

like I said also before...
I am impressed with the business.... but.... I wasn't impressed with the stock.

3. price already reflected?

sure? very sure bo?
come on....

It was many moons ago and many, many, many donkey times I mentioned...
USD is my friend.
yes that long ago.
now this stock WAS ONE of the early stock movers among that 'theme'....
but the stock dropped ...
once the USD started retracing from the 4.40+ region....
panic was everywhere...

why?

cos the market was pricing the stock to the expected decline in the USD.....

since then...
I had also mentioned that I was NOT impressed with the stock growth.....
and yesterday results showed.....

with the stock slowing to a quarterly growth rate of 6% instead of 20%++....
the market would likely lower the stock valuation.
it's all basic stuff...

For me, in that sense....
it explained clearly why the stock wasn't moving anywhere...
in fact...
it looked like it's in a coma stage...
around the 90 sen region... wink.gif
and yes...
this is my subjective view which I could be wrong...

*hope i am writing sloooooooow enuf for you to be under the standing.... tongue.gif *

and unfortunately...
this is where I disagree with your overbought/oversold point.
the stock wasn't moving anywhere....
just stuck...

and the longer it stays this way...

the stale bull factor becomes a massive issue. (just like Hevea and yes, if I had to bet, I would say lower/disappointing numbers are to be expected from Hevea )

the saving grace...
yeah...
the dividends...

LOL!!!
but then you no I am not a pathetic dividend hunter...
so please don't bother me on this... LOL!

Fundamentally good but share liquidity is an issue, not much lots done every day.

But this CAN also be a good thing, if a shark were to play it devil.gif
