HEllo sifoos and fellow SagaBlm owners
I have been reading owners discussion threads here for a while and enjoying all posting by owners. After long time reading... recently i decided to get myself a brand new Flx Plus Manual, registered on 22nd Dis. I have driven 2013 Flx 1.3 cVT and impressed with the low budget proton handling and this basically as a starting point for me ton consider saga blm flx. However, when picking up the car in Taiping from the dealer and drive it back to Alor Setar... I found out that the car comes with 13" steelie wheels ... thought it suppose to be14" alloy wheels as stated in the brochure. Bought this car from a dealer who is my friend and since he gave me super good discounts I could not resist. .. though it's quite far away to pick up the car.. I still bought from him. According to him, only cVT model comes with 14" and no year end discount. For manual got rm700 Std discount while I got super extra. To my surprise, the car does not handle as good as the stock flx cVT 1.3 I rented during my KK visit to Kundasang in 2013. The steering feels light and not so planted during highway drive. The DBW is laggy. ... but overall still I feels it's a good buy. Just next day after taking the car home.... visit my friend tire shop, trade in the 13" stock wheels with 15" TE37 cap ayam paired with corsa 2233 195/50 R15. So far so good. The car just covered 400km and looking forward for 1K service. And later will think of lowering it to compensate the ride height for better handling. And guys.. thank you for informative posting here... ! |

And guys.. thank you for informative posting here... ! Now, serious business. Your friend is half correct, it all depending on what Plotong have balance in hand. So not surprise if you got rim kompang where you see other pipu gets alloy. Regardless, you're already in good hand since u traded in for a good old TE37 looked rims. The throttle lag will take sometime to adapt, and much significant on manual tranny engine as the "lag" on CVT has been compensated with transmission lag. Hendling wise... I'd like to request a photoshot of your ID plate under your B pillar step sill area. Ayam suspecting you get yourself an FL instead of FLX Not saying FL or FLX better, FL got it's own advantage interms of handling. FLX no doubt it feels harder on the suspension, but agility wise FL can tapau a stock FLX with some tweak. Last but not lease, piktar plis! I think most if not all of us like to see another GaGa with sporty look rims running around and dominate the globe surface |

Tq David and fellow gaga owners. I m in KL now and will post pics tmrw when back in Alor setar.
Nonetheless the car will be driven by my wife to pickup kids from school. I ride kapcai to work.. jimat petrol.. and surely the ecu will learn auntie driving style. As for the handling. .. I am an oldskool so my butt hardened already.. and feels the ride after changing to 15" tires still OK and very comfy. |
