i know this sounds a bit "stupid" lol but i was just thinking whether isit possible to only change certain parts in proton service centre instead of following their list of to do?

what comes in my mind is that i'll probably switch to outside shop for normal servicing eg oil change, plug change, brakes etc.

but for major things like changing timing belt or CVT oil change i probably go back to proton SC is that possible? just go and tell them i mau service CVT saje.

The only thing is the warranty of course. Say if you car is new and if you send you car to change eng oil, plug, brakes etc to local shops besides Proton SC it will void your car warranty.

Then when you want to change CVT fluid, can send to Proton without any issues.

This is what I'm doing now as well.

You can basically go to Proton for anything you want even you already send your car to "bawah pokok" and your car no more warranty.

I believe one forumer here have been servicing his car at normal shop for quite some time then his car got problem (warranty already void). His car was about time for servicing that time then he tow to Proton and Proton say if you do the service with Proton now we will continue your warranty.

thats why i am considering where to send for servicing, normal servicing wise i can trust normal bawah pokok shop, but for CVT servicing, timing belt those i dont really trust outside shop d haha

Talking about my case? Hehehe..

I used do bring up a question regarding A/C problem that I'm having. I called Proton's SC (on Tuesday 8 Dec 2015) and had an appointment made for the SC to inspect the problem. So, I went there today at 11.30 am and had the car checked. The aircond hose was leaking and that made the gas to dissipate and became less. Unfortunately, they had to call their mechanic whom was 10km away from the SC for further inspection. I had to wait for 2 hours untill the mechanic arrived and did his job. They asked me to wait another 1 hour as they told me that was what it takes for the process. Finally, at 4pm the clerk called me and informed me that they didn't have the part that was eventually to be replaced earlier. Best day of my life.

Still got warranty? If not straight send to a proper air cond man. Dont need to make appointment.

Guys, ever heard of this trasnmission oil additive? Is it good or bad for saga cvt transmission?
