QUOTE(Ambition @ Jun 8 2016, 04:18 PM) Hi, may i know where to find the post so that i can read further? IINM a first year audit manager in a big 4 would get $6k+, not the $7k like you mentioned earlier. Given that seniors in mid tier would get 3k+, I would assume that the managers there would get around $5k? Edit: Not too sure if the pay scale for tax managers is the same for audit managers. Just giving you a point of reference This post has been edited by shiloong7081: Jun 9 2016, 09:41 AM

QUOTE(Pete the great @ Jun 9 2016, 09:34 AM) Apply for job of course. Do a lot of applicants these days apply directly to employers? Besides jobstreet, do you know of any other job sites popular in singapore? Like monster.com? strait times? Both. If you see job application in company A in jobstreet, apply for it and at the same time, send direct email to employers also.

QUOTE(Pete the great @ Jun 9 2016, 09:36 AM) jobsdb seem small in malaysia, surprisingly you got replies in Spore. Well I know its tough to work in singapore, but I think about this: I work for a HK company, with HK bosses, who are tough and merciless. But I am earning MYR !!! I mind as well go to singapore to work and get 3 times more for my stress. I applied a lot of jobs on jobstreet and jobsdb. I said I prefered jobsdb because I can really see the status updated in 1 or 2 days. Unlike jobstreet, mostly just showed Received. Besides, more info are stated in jobsdb. Oh ya. Jobsbank Sg also not bad.

Hi guys,
Anyone of you bought medi shield frm any provider ?
Reason i am asking coz the plan i purchased frm avixx, recently up to renewal date, the latest premium increased so much , bloody hell
I asked the agent, reason he give tat government recently roll out the "medishield life" plan, hence all providers will upgrade their plans accordingly to provide better coverage. Not oni avixx, but all providers also increased their premium @@
Is it true ? Anyone that your medishield premium increased ? I thought the "medishield life" is free as government advertisement, but now they telling me otherwise.....

How hard it is for a diploma holder vs degree holder (malaysian uni) to find a job in Singapore?
Long story short, I am a year 3 degree student (accounting) in KL. Due to bad results and has failed many accounting papers and I will graduate late (around 2019) so I am thinking whether I should quit and work with my diploma cert in Singapore or pass all my papers (in 2019) so that I can apply job using degree cert. My plan is to work in Singapore either after I graduate degree or even if I quit my degree halfway now. I might or might not do accounting job because I don't like it, but most probably will enter into finance/marketing/HR etc..
I am 23 years old this year and have no working experience

Depends on how well your work experience makes up for your lack in paper qualifications. As a fresh grad with no paper? Can find job here also, just be ready to compete heavily on price.

I thought JobsDB doesn't track our applications like Jobstreet got received..., read X times, unsuccessful....etc? How do you know the status? For Jobsbank, how do you register in the first place? They need Singpass ID to create a login.

I'd also like to ask the same question, there are some positions in Jobsbank that match my skillset and interest, however, they are not advertised in JobsDB nor Jobstreet. For JobsDB, you can check back your application history.
