Or just open a foreign currency account in Malaysia?
I might be niave but I do prefer keeping SGD as opposed to MYR.

Wouldn't that be no different than just keeping the SGD in Singapore?

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and i would like to ask the tax consultants who are currently working in Big 4 Singapore or mid-tier firms like RSM / BDO. May i know what would be the salary range for a tax manager in Big 4 Singapore as well as in mid-tier firms? From what i heard it is in the range of SGD 7,000 - 8,000, is it true?

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Copied from another forum the salary range for S3/M1 in big 4:

In actuality i heard the scale is lower by a few hundred and mid tier would definitely pay much less so don't expect too much @_@

The account is under her name, and comes with an atm card that she can use here when she comes to check on me every fortnight lol.

There's still work permit but with degree I doubt they will give you that. No problem working here short term with S Pass or E Pass right? But if the post is really temporary intern I'm not sure what kind of pass can the company apply for you. You can't really apply the passes. Only the employer can apply for that.

FYI, I met an employer that apply work permit for me even I have a degree. It is a MNC. Luckily I got another offer.

Apply what? Apply for work permit/pass? In Singapore you can't apply on your own. You apply for a job, then the hiring company applies for the permit on your behalf.

I would suggest Jobsdb. Employers are active using Jobsdb. I got replies within 1 to 2 weeks

Apply for job of course. Do a lot of applicants these days apply directly to employers?

Besides jobstreet, do you know of any other job sites popular in singapore? Like monster.com? strait times?

jobsdb seem small in malaysia, surprisingly you got replies in Spore.

Well I know its tough to work in singapore, but I think about this: I work for a HK company, with HK bosses, who are tough and merciless. But I am earning MYR !!! I mind as well go to singapore to work and get 3 times more for my stress.
