Bachelor degree grad 1.3k?

yes, that was the average salary for fresh graduates, 25 years ago. but terrace houses in Klang Valley back then were still below RM300K!

25 years back terrace house was merely 100k in Cheras.
For 1.3k, even a fresh grad could get a house and a secondhand car easily already. Back then the ratio was in the correct state, now it's like we're facing hyperinflation.
Salary only went two folds compared to 20 years back while houses went 10 times up.

So when a fresh grad from any studies demanding 3k as a start, how is it even too much for an employer? 3k you could barely get an apartment.

You cannot map the house prices to inflation.
The house prices has got nothing to do with inflation. It's more on speculation.

Lol based on what you mentioned there, I believe you got more than 3k when you're fresh grad as well. No wonder you think it's a norm

Still didn't think logistics industry would be that high pay, even though the demand is getting higher every year

Job Title : Assistant Accountant
Job Desciption : Accounting/Finance
Years spent in company : To join soon
Company : -
Industry : Healthcare
Employment Level : Not sure is which level, I guess Manager level?
Experience before joining : 4.5
Highest paper qualification/ education background : ACCA
salary : 6.5k
Location: PJ

The company requested me to apply for MIA although I have ACCA. The position I applied was Accountant but they want me to get MIA first only grant me the Accountant position so my offer letter stated position as "Assistant Accountant". I will let the manager to sign on my MIA application documents on the first day of my job as ACCA can directly apply for MIA, the only downside is I have to pay that extra MIA membership annually (the company will pay for my ACCA's).

At first I thought the salary is above average but after reading all the replies here, I don't think it's above average, lol.

pretty sure most management trainee programs (ie. graduate programs , for fresh graduates) all pays around or above ~3.5k .

granted, these are top companies aiming for creme of the crop graduates, usually those from overseas universities. But these companies do exist. Eg: CIMB, Gamuda, Shell, Sime Darby, Accenture, Intel etc. Pretty sure advisory positions in Big 4 starts from 3.4k also.

Few of my high flyer friends, dean list of a top 10 university in the world, gets 6k starting salary. some in O&G, some in private equity.

So how does it sound okay to you lol

I have been working in SG for 4.5 years in System Integrator and moved to Myanmar as a Solution Architect for around 1 year.

Anyway I have invested a lot to get my CCIE and compared to oversea i still think my salary is not that high thou. But yeah I know working in Malaysia is different from oversea so I don't expect to be on par with oversea salary.

Anyway don't ask me why I stop working in oversea, "family" first =D.
