QUOTE(aaron1717 @ May 30 2016, 02:44 PM) bro... he have experience ma.... he took 6 years to get to that salary range at 25.... for bachelor who took the same timing.... some 3 years already at managerial level.... But the thing, when a fresh grad work for 3 years, would one get 7k? I definitely don't think so. At least also 5 or 6 years to reach a clean 7k.

QUOTE(fuzzy @ May 31 2016, 01:49 PM) Mileage might vary la for different people. I started like under 3k and now is in the five figures in just 5 years. Timing, luck and opportunities sometime comes together. Edit: coz brain farted Yeah, no doubt those help alot. But in the norms, it doesn't happen all the time. 3k to a five figure is indeed an impressive jump within just 5 years. Is your company in HR industry or you're in the HR department of a company in other industry?

QUOTE(fuzzy @ May 31 2016, 04:54 PM) I'm in the financial industry.. started around 3k+, there was an adjustment to the unions which also impacte the non-union, so I got push to 4k almost immediately, then coupled with very generous increments and promotions, by the 3rd year i was touching 7k. I left to join another place, and got my 30% jump, didn't enjoyed it and quit after 6 mths, got head hunted for another role and i asked for another 30% .. a year or so in, was asked to head a dept so i asked for double and I got that. Definitely I won't claim it is the norm, but I think all the relationships you build, the expertise you hone and the experiences you amass will come to fruition so keep at it and keep your heads up. Wow. Luck and opportunity really strike you at the right time. What a fluke! And I believe you've built a really strong connections as well. Well, under 30 and you've joined the 20k club haha. While I'm still wondering how much would I get when I start my career.

QUOTE(Ohiyesa @ Aug 27 2016, 05:06 PM) Hi um sorry for not using the format as my intention is to ask a question. My question is how much can a diploma level welder make in a month as a freshgrad? Im currently studying Engineering Technology in Welding and im planning on working for a year after i graduate to get some experience before continuing my degree. Thanks for the answers in advance. EDIT : By any chance any seasoned welding engineers/inspectors stumble upon my reply, recommendations for what welding certificates to go for is highly appreciated. You don't even bother about degree when you're a O&G undersea welder. Easily you can get more than 20k.

Got a friend from my uni, hes a bachelor in supply chain, havent even graduated and Texas Instrument offers him 3.6k to work there right after graduation and he has no experience other than that 2 months intern at DHL. He has a 3.7cgpa btw
What do you think? Is it bullshit or what lol
And he said his friend in the same course (either supply chain or logistics) Shell offered his friend 4.5k, fresh grad.
the hell, I asked a few forummers here last time (logistics industry as well), their fresh grad salary was 1.8k-2.2k only. Those salaries from my friend are like two folds man

QUOTE(Dead4Life @ Sep 6 2017, 05:22 PM) emm, its possible when your friend is already has 1st class degree. MNC especially like TI and Shell can pay more than average salary for fresh grads (they probably excel during interview sessions). Never knew any company willing to pay more than 3.5k for a fresh graduate. Only know Petronas and other O&G that pay 4k for their fresh graduate engineer. but their glory days are gone

QUOTE(chubbyqq @ Sep 6 2017, 05:39 PM) I know tons of MNC IT companies that offer more than 3.5k and above for fresh grad. There is no pre-determined salary range for fresh grad, depends on the company capability and your technical expertise. I know someone took a fresh grad job to dubai with salary exceeding RM8k. Work in Dubai pay is in USD ady
