They don't "select by random" lol. They have a list, a very long list to go through.

The TM tele agents has zero reason not to call those who hasn't upgraded. Their pay is largely commission based on top of their bare minimum wage. Got money don't want to take? What kinda telemarketer is that dumb?

Cannot wait then go TMpoint straight and do on the spot. Simple.

Having gathered information from a group of 10-15 subscribers, from amongst relatives, work colleagues and neighbours, I think I've spotted a pattern.

It doesn't matter so much how long you've been a subscriber - although those with 2+ years seem to have an advantage - it seems they are calling those people with good payment records first. Which sort of makes sense.

Why bother offering someone an upgrade, and occasionally with additional perks, if they are not going to pay their monthly subscription or are going to 'hutang' half the time?

In short, they are not avoiding calling people. They are just calling certain more 'cooperative' people first.

Heh. Well, I am not saying it's conclusive, but from the 6 people I know who have gotten telemarketing calls, all were very good and paid their subscriptions on time. Of the rest, the majority have either outstanding bills or been late 2-3 months at one time or another. In my parents-in-law's case, not even technically their fault since they were overseas for 3 months visiting children and even paid back in full within 3 days after they arrived back.

Still think it's probably just a long Excel sheet somewhere sorted by some parameters. smile.gif

i think maybe for the early adopter at your location??? for example, when unifi already in your place, you become early adopter, they put on high target for upgrading...

but my makcik just want to terminate after finish contract, straight at the counter offer rm20 discount...means negotiation is the keys when dealing with tm...

Oh definitely! I learned that a long time ago, and it applies to a lot of things like Astro, your cellular service provider, etc. not only TM.

Never take the 1st offer they give you, no matter how interested you are. Never let them think you are desperate and you are more than happy with their offer. The current pricing may be much lower than the old price per GB, but you can always get them to squeeze in more discounts or add-ons.

All these people that 'baham' the RM179 offer straight off without arguing are really not helping force the providers to give us better packages at more affordable prices. At this point, I would even strongly encourage anyone to at least negotiate for one extra perk even if you get a telemarketing call.

QUOTE(stanum @ Nov 3 2015, 04:33 PM)
just changed my Maxis Fiber to Unifi 30 MBps this morning. I dont know why, but it suddenly not working well.

1. I've tried to connect to Cisco VPN to connect to my office network. However after logged in, when i tried to open Outlook and MS Lync, it keeps dropping like sign in sign out again. Email took very long time to download.

2. I tried to download some apps in my Ipad, it is very very slow.. compared when i used 10mbps maxis fiber to download. i can feel the difference!

3. Already restart the modem and router, same thing happening

4. Tried to run speedtest.net, well, not reaching 30mb, but around 25mb download.

I feel very iritated and regret with this decision to change to Unifi now...too bad even not complete 1 day using it!

Same here bro rclxub.gif

Its as though the connection isn't stable, using wireless. When it works its awesome, super fast. But way too frequently the connection drops and shows no wifi connection. Sometime its full bar, but still can barely surf or stream anything.

I wonder if its the router issue, because previously I was using VIP5 with the old router provided, never had I encounter this issue so often. Sigh.

Thinking of getting new router to try.

YES! NOT EVEN 25Mbps! vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif I tried 5 times contacting TM service line, via phone, OCC and Twitter. They said upon checking from their place, the connection is fine.

BUT MY PLACE ONLY GET 22-23Mbps everyday freaking day. Better off getting VIP 20 and have more upload speed. Holyshit.

Everyday dailing 100 has been my daily routine. shakehead.gif

Hello fellow Unifi users. I just want to ask...

A dude called me last month for Unifi 30mbps upgrade for RM199. Same story la, now I feel scammed. However, I was shocked when I found out my bill was RM239!! With the extra from the HyppTV Aneka pack. When their current promo is only RM179 for my exact same package.

Is it true that if I go complain at a TM point they will fix it to the current package of RM179 for 30mbps + HyppTV Aneka?

I posted this yesterday, not sure if you guys saw?

I don't watch HyppTV so I really don't need that pack. Most importantly I want to keep my internet bill manageable. Extra by so much is really hurting my wallet in this already hard to survive economy.

Try changing from 20/40 Mhz to 20Mhz only

Contact your local TM Point they'll give you a complain form which they'll guide you to fill, after that your package will be discounted icon_rolleyes.gif

Of course it's fine. They check for you during non-FUP time, so obviously no speed drop.

I said it earlier, with the higher bandwidth they do indeed need to put FUP into place more often than not already. The influx of people jumping from 5mbps to 30mbps is simply too big for TM to handle, despite all their claims that they have the capacity to handle the higher volume of bandwidth.

Need to clear some doubt and other peoples experience before go to TMPoint

I am early adopter of Unifi 30MBps + Aneka Pack + Free land line call = RM 199.

Can I get RM 20 discount and maintain my free call ?

You'll have to try negotiating with the TM via complaining SKMM. icon_rolleyes.gif

Then you might be able to get RM20 off and still maintain free calls

I encounter this issue where the UNIFI landline can't call out to any numbers. It can receive call but it can't make calls out. Internet is working fine. There is this blinking telephone logo on the cordless motorola phone though.

Anyone know what is the issue?
