U think US executive on biz visiting kul will stay at robertson instead of hilton?

I will be very upset if i am on biz trip and co put me up on robertson. Day day breakfast lunch n dinner i need to hunt for them.

Airbnb is not compatible with hilton hotel chain. mnc executives don't book room on price alone.

the amount of us executives visiting on business trips pales greatly in comparison to tourists on leisure. airbnb hotspots like ceylon cendana regalia sultan ismail etc doing extremely well.

There are quite many things you can't do at hilton vs airbnb.

Now, Younger buz/ tourist prefer airbnb compare hotel.

Now, Airbnb, is targeting more older business travelers, the bread-and-butter clientele of hotels.

so many competitions, so can foresee the asking price for airbnb and rental will be stagnant....

the majority buyers are investors...dun think local willing to stay here ...

At this moment totally agree with you.

the plaza rakyat, the merdeka 118 and the bukit bintang city center is very important.

Am also airbnb user.....

I was debating converting hilton paying guests to use airbnb in malaysia is not workable. Same thing w 4season customers to use airbnb instead.

plaza rakyat still long long way to go...mayb need to wait longer (more than 10 years)...

Merdeka 118 chance for success become slimmer since the spotlight will focus on TRX & Bandar Malaysia...

BBCC is major catalyst for success at Pudu area...but still depend on execution capability of developer (UDA & Ecoword)...

Gamuda not a major player in Bukit Bintang area.... need to rely on others to justify his success...

They are hilton guest which wanted to stay longer in KL might consider switching.

15%+/- of Airbnb guest are staying over a month as per the talked from Gamuda marketing 2 last Saturday ago.

I am totally against Airbnb btw.

taking away from hotel biz, yes no doubt.

On average airbnb in Malaysia is NOT UP to standard of a standard hotel service providers especially those 4 stars and above, granted the fee you pay also not the same, probably 50 to 60% cheaper in airbnb.

I dum have the figures but bigger cities in aus....small units doing pretty badly and the supply keep coming up.

Bcos they are too expensive for local to buy or rent.

But if u talk abt mega cities like NY london with population over 10mil yes the demand is there.

Even bangkok w 10mil population....they still rely on foreign buying power.

We malaysins society wise hasnt come to the stage of singleton yet. Maybe another 20yrs but not in the next 5 yrs. Rich young single professional or bizmen not too many.
