QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ Mar 7 2016, 11:13 PM) HLB has 2-3 days grace period after your due date, you can still dispute if you have been charged for late payment fee. Really bro? I just checked my statement again on HL Connect, it was stated that I paid my cc at 7th march although my due date is 6th march. Hopefully, no late payment charges though. I dont see any penalty or fines in HL connect for now

I do have late payment of 1-2 days before due to weekends, no issues so far after so many years. However, I'm not encouraging you to do late payment every month la.

Even if you want to test, is better give them a call.

However, you must understand that CB depends on the WHERE you reload TNG. refer this topic for the list of merchants that accept CC to reload TNG. If you reload from Grocery merchants, do ensure your selected category is Grocery too. search for answer: you dont need to flip all the pages here. There's a [Search Topic] function on the lower-left corner of this forum. make use of this function. This post has been edited by cybpsych: Mar 9 2016, 02:40 PM

However, I'm not encouraging you to do late payment every month la. Bank has a hidden rule of 2 days allowance from your statement due date. Say your statement due date is 12th March. You pay cash in their cash deposit machine/ instant transfer/ bank in at counter, there will not be late charges. This is because the bank allow 2 days floating for cheque banked in on 12th March. Hence, if you pay via a method which will instantly goes to the credit card account on 14th, there will be no late charges. If you do normal bank transfer on 14th, you kantoi la. I have been doing that for years. Instant transfer on date like 14th. Let the money sits in my full flexi housing loan account.

Have you considered whether the extra day is worth 42 sen?

For 1000 I keep in in my housing loan account, I get RM 0.50 everyday. There is another more extreme way to keep your money with yourself longer. 1) Pay minimum amount on statement right on the statement due date 2) Pay the balance right on the day before your credit card cycle ends If you do both of that, there will be no late charges, interest charge. But I am not so free to do 6 times transactions in a month.

Assuming 6% interest saving: RM1000 * 6% / 365 = RM0.165 only

I would be surprised if you actually save 50 sen per day. As IBG is now same-day as long as transfer before 10am or something (tried and tested many times by myself). I do that to avoid losing any interest when moving between banks.

Better still keep your money in the HLB's eFD, but the interest rate are bloody low, 2.95% Rather than you use future money, you save the money for 1 month, make some interest before pay your card debts

Yeah, normal practice for me unless the payment is larger than 4k. Outstanding amount in HLB system will be instantly updated for IBFT while 1 day latency for IBG. Anyway, too much OT, sorry.
