if u asking

there are only 2items use month than once a month

that is petrol

grocery a bit difficult

maybe if rm150, seperate pay 3 receipt hmm.gif

nanti cashier marah

orang queue belakang marah

If you use more than RM350 petrol, takkan you don't use toll? Reload Touch-and-go can be done at selected places under grocery (there's a whole topic on that).

But in general this card is not suitable if you're struggling to hit 10x RM50. Firstly because you may not get any rebate, but more importantly because your effective cash back drops a lot. If you can spend RM1k per month, you'll get RM1200 end of the year in cashback. Only RM500++ a month you'll get only about RM600++ end of the year. And you still need to subtract the annual fee (if you're lucky and have gold, that's RM169).

Effective cash back would be around 6.5++%, which is still better than anyone else, but may not be worth the hassle compared to Maybank Ikhwan's confirmed 5% (no annual fee) which may allow you to actually spend less. Or even Public Bank Visa Signature if you can qualify for it.

Yes

Try not to swipe end of the month, as the posting date is usually 2 or 3 days later after transaction is made.
*
Don't rely on that. Can be as little as zero days sometimes, and most of my transactions are 1 day later. Depends on the terminal used etc.

Safest is, make sure you hit the 10x spend early on in the month (before 20th is safe because you have time to check online to make sure posted and if not, plan more spending).

Once that's hit, then can spend as normal. If you're the sort who always wanna hit that RM100 (like most of us here), then make sure your last transaction is by maybe 27th of the month or so to be safe.

stemex      RM180

water        RM70
celcom 1    RM 80
celcom 2    RM 50

Looks like you may not benefit from WISE very much due to spending not suitable. Really need to get close to max cash rebate to make this card worth it after the first year.

What I do is help my family pay their TNB bills to max out. Share the benefit. Other members have used grocery category to buy stuff (milo tin etc) and sell back full price in cash to small shops, but I haven't done that personally (not so thick face).

I recommend my friends this WISE they also giving same type of feedback. Difficult to get 10X. So I always try to convince them....

To achieve 10x RM50 is easy I think.

Petrol 1 tank per week = 4X, 2 cars in family = 8X

TNB split = 2X
Unifi split = 3X
Celcom/telco = 2X

Others (groceries, restaurants, etc.) = 4X

I am taking Petrol, Dining + free Telco categories. Every month hit 10X no problem.
*
Like alexanderclz said, depends on individual.

My petrol only 6x a week for family (at max).

Groceries, always cheaper in market so mainly use for TnG.

But my TNB split is 4x (plus I help my parents pay which will always in total with mine be over 10x di).

So my guaranteed RM50x10 comes from TNB alone. I also use Groceries category so once in a while when buying milk powder or other stuff not from market can use. And to reload TnG.

My telco bill between me and wife cannot even reach RM50 a month (thanks Umobile!).

Varies a lot between individual.

It posted on 30 Dec for my 28 Dec transaction.
What a relief...
*
Next time better do transactions earlier. Use UOB Payonline at the start of the month to pay some bills, for example.

Seems like for some reason HLB don't want to cheat you this time whistling.gif at least if you listen to certain posters....

If for the whole month you can only make 10 transactions, suggest that you cancel this card.
No point to hold it as you need to pay AF from 2nd year onward.
*
Since first year is free, any problem with holding for 11 months and cancelling on 12th month? Zero cost as AF still not charged.

Remember to add : ask CS if change the statement date, will Jan's transaction merge to Feb's transaction?
Like PBB will merge it when we request change of statement date.
*
Good to ask, but unlike PBB VS this card is based on month so *should be* no change.

I normally do 10x transactions first day of the month, split two different TNB bills. No issue.

Why? It's zero cost for first year, and the T&C will change only with notice. May aswell squeeze RM100 a few times before the rules change.

Hi for all those who optimize kao kao their spending, my this month is as follows:-

105 grocery spending
832 utilities spending

Based on above I have RM11 cashback from grocery and RM83 from utilities right? Meaning to optimize (if I assume I can only add to the utilities and don't wanna purposely go buy groceries) I need to add RM53 for total of RM885 spending which gives RM89 cashback?

I don't use this for mobile as I buy mobile from qoo10 with shopback (15% total cashback) anyway.

Bank has a hidden rule of 2 days allowance from your statement due date.

Say your statement due date is 12th March. You pay cash in their cash deposit machine/ instant transfer/ bank in at counter, there will not be late charges. This is because the bank allow 2 days floating for cheque banked in on 12th March. Hence, if you pay via a method which will instantly goes to the credit card account on 14th, there will be no late charges. If you do normal bank transfer on 14th, you kantoi la.

I have been doing that for years. Instant transfer on date like 14th. Let the money sits in my full flexi housing loan account.
*
Your instant transfer costs 53 sen vs 11 sen for IBG. Have you considered whether the extra day is worth 42 sen?

Ofcz. For 1000 I keep in in my housing loan account, I get RM 0.50 everyday.
*
See below for calculations. I would be surprised if you actually save 50 sen per day.

QUOTE(roy918 @ Mar 9 2016, 04:10 PM)
Guess you have over stated the home mortgage interest you going to save for the money sitting in your account.

Assuming 6% interest saving: RM1000 * 6% / 365 = RM0.165 only
*
May I suggest instead of instant you do IBG in the morning? As IBG is now same-day as long as transfer before 10am or something (tried and tested many times by myself). I do that to avoid losing any interest when moving between banks.

Suggest you play safe and do April 1st.

TNB bill in my experience pay a bit late also no problem. And you have until 5th anyway.

TAC has expiry date, can last that long?
*
The TAC is to give permission for a transaction, and expires within a few minutes.

Once the transaction is approved it will be executed on the given date. Not like the system gonna store the TAC for 2 weeks.
