Recently I opened a trading account with Maybank Kim Eng. I remember I did not open a CDP account because I feel is not necessary.

for sg or foreign stocks?

just curious, what is the brokerage fee for local, foreign stocks for this maybank ke in sg?

min sgd to start?

Any penny stocks that is good to flip over ? Mind sharing.

For Sg because I am a PR there.

for brokerage fee for local, min is SGD18. For foreign stock, I cant remember.

1. Will I still get letter from company when they announce dividend?

2. Will I still get invitation from company to attend AGM?

AV,... I bought the Wall Street Journal last Friday and I came across an article on the front page : The excess oil barrels are actually accounting errors, and in actual fact, there are not really that many excesses,...

Can you search out this article ?? It also said that the supply glut is not really that serious given that the so-called excesses are fictitious. The counting mechanism is not really that accurate i the international oil bodies,... If this article is true, then we are really in a market recovery mode.

Its a nominee account, means shares held on your behalf under the broker's CDP.

Letter & AR from company will send to the broker and not you. Your remisier/agent might inform you.

To attend AGM, you must ask for proxy form filled by broker.

Is good to know I still entitle to join the AGM.

Do let your broker know earlier if you are keen to go for the AGM so that they can start to make the arrangements earlier,... or,.. if,.. well,.. they do not allow you to go, then you would know earlier, so that you can make alternative plans.

Let us know if they deny you a chance to attend the AGM - investor rights issues !

I just spoke to my broker, basically I am entitle to attend any AGM. Just need to inform them earlier and they will fill up the form for me.

And to my surprise, their service is very good compared to Malaysia.
