OCBC BANK.. who got?

SINGAPORE (Jan 12): Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation could have a rough year ahead of it, and Maybank Kim Eng is maintaining its “sell” rating on the local bank.

should i take profit and sell?

way back in 2013 when open the account..
I was considering STD CHART & DBS.

and I choose DBS in favour of the Direct Account.
The other factor is... ESTATE PLANNING.

i hv no idea in case i SAYONARA for Nominee account how it works... but for DIRECT CDP.. its a clear cut thing.

Our will in Malaysia is recognize in Singapore being COMMONWEALTH country. You can email DBS BANK and SGX and they will give u a step by step way on the procedure.

Also, for NOMINEE account.... I have no idea who own the shares or the procedures.

However, being a FOREIGNER to Singapore.. after open the ac i realise.. cannot take part in any RIGHTS ISSUE, bonus etc..
coz we do not have a SINGAPORE MAILING ADDRESS. so, this is the Minus Point.

I am O.K with that so far... as the Rights issue will be automatically sold off.. hence if one is really interested
can just buy off market. But have to make sure timing is right.

eg KEPPLE DC REIT. I think it works out to the same.

Banks had a super good run over past 1 year DBS is already up 40% since its 52 week low and OCBC around 30%. They may still have some rooms to go when Fed starts raising interest rate this yr and OnG industry sees some light at the end of the tunnel... I think I will keep my DBS for a bit longer and see how...

Looking at the earnings for last 5 months and DPU, the yield at 85cents if only 5.67% annualised.
i presume that's a good yield for US?

Hi prophet,...

According to the prospectus back in May, 206, the following were committed :-

1) The yield for FY2016 is targetted to be at 6.60%. At a price of USD 0.83 (IPO Offering Price on May 12, 2016), the DPU works out to be USD 0.05478, ANNUALISED !

2) The yield for FY2017 is targetted to be at 7.10%. At a price of USD 0.83 (IPO Offering Price on May 12, 2016), the DPU works out to be USD 0.05893.

I think the ANNUALISED yield for FY2016 should be higher now, seeing that the 3rd qtr dpu has increased by 5.8%. I am estimating a conservative USD 0.0190 for the 4th qtr 2016. We will know in February 13th this year....

FY2017, ie this year, would be clearer for this REIT in terms of performance. Anyway, this is the only US REIT that I could diversify into without incurring withholding taxes. My average price is 81.63 US Cents, hence my yield should be slightly higher !

Frasers Centrepoint Trust reported the recent quarterly performance tonight !

http://infopub.sgx.com/FileOpen/FCT_Press_...t&FileID=436494

Everything is as I predicted, and been following,... among which are :-

1) The new anchor tenant at Changi City Point started operating in October 2016.
2) The AEI at Northpoint progressing as scheduled, and tenancy is starting to improve. AEI will be completed in end-Sept 2017.

Buy FCT !!

Added : Quite interesting,... compared to the previous corresponding period, the Gross Revenue and the Net Property Income decreased,... BUT... the Distribution to Unitholders and the dpu INCREASED ! Normally, what I see happening to the other REITs is 'the other way round',...

This goes to show that FCT has great money management qualities, and perhaps management fine-tuned their performance incentives well enough to ensure unitholders do not suffer dropping dpu during AEI at Northpoint.

PLEASE ATTEND THE AGM IF YOU CAN, investors,... THe 'Chinamen' presenters there speak a lot of words with essence,...

You can opt for frasers centerpoint limited instead of the reit. Not bad dividend and 70% of earnings is recurring from rental.

You have to look beyond the dividend.. as the payout ratio is lower. brows.gif

Anyway I am holding FCT also. rclxms.gif

Well,... to me,.. even if the POR is low, I wouldn't be impressed enough to buy a ctr if the yield is low.

OTOH, if a ctr has a high yield, AND a high POR, I would look at other factors to evaluate, eg sustainability of the dpu from the dpu track record, and what is the co doing to avoid a situation one day whereby dpu might be higher than eps.

Likely to see some rally on telecoms this coming week. SGP is ahead in this area.

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/19/5g-internet...lecoms-ceo.html

Now I might understand why the IDA allowed another player into the mkt ! The pie is getting bigger, and Sgp wants competition in the ctry to give the best to the people,...
