QUOTE(JuneResources @ Sep 27 2016, 03:09 PM) Haha, less to play.. Boring and lazy hunting pokemon. That one i dunno, and dunwan to know.. However, I'm not sure can ask or not regarding the paid apps. Do you know any idea to manual download xap file for the applications? Just want to keep using the device as simply as it can... The reason i move from other platform to windows... No tedious rooting whatsoever |

I am currently using my 3 Years Old Lumia 1020 - still working fine except the cracked screen. Lol. If I am buying the Lumia 950XL, I don't think I will opt for Insider. I prefer a stable Mobile phone. |

QUOTE(hagiri_11 @ Sep 7 2016, 04:40 PM) Hi, I've got a problem with my 950XL. Lately it seems to restart and hang (non responsive, completely dark screen) quite often, which requires me to either reset using keys or to take out the battery. Sometimes when it happens, the phone becomes really hot as if doing a lot of work, but it is non responsive. I have updated it recently, as well as all of my apps. Can somebody help me to solve this problem? QUOTE(ru5hd4n @ Sep 19 2016, 04:09 PM) hi, i experienced this issue lately.my lumia 950 dualsim now is having frequent random reboot after update to the latest update OS rebuild 1.0.14393.189.... i did reset the phone, but the problem is still there. now tryiing to figure out how to rollback to the previous build. anyone experience the same? thanks using phone, then the phone would suddenly goes black screen, sometime when double tap it will show lockscreen for around 1 sec then goes black when this happens, i need hold the power button more than 10 sec to force restart. sometimes my phone would also randomly restarts, still trying to find the source of the issue. I have perform hard reset (using about --> reset), now i'm thinking of flashing the phone using computer. else i might consider sending back for warranty. any of you guys solved your issue? |

I sent it to Microsoft 2 weeks ago. They checked, and found out the motherboard got problem. Fortunately still under warranty. Prob is, up until now the spare mb has not arrived, so i'm still stuck with my backup phone (a 1020, which has a dying battery as well). If resetting to factory does not solve the prob, it might be the hardware. |

I have just hard reset using button combination instead of via "About" screen, and see how it goes. if the problem persisted, guess i need to sent to service center as well. Did you sent yours to Amcorp Mall? |

I ended buying new andriod phone... two units changed MB but the issue persisted, that's strange but i do realised something, i usually encounter the random reboot issue when battery is around less than 50%, i suspect is the battery, called the Amcorp Mall service center but they dont have stock for the battery so for now, i will try to keep the battery above 50% to see if the problem goes away if the issue remains, then i most likely RMA it then sell it off |

i just give the Amcorp mall service center a call, apparently they are not going to order any batteries unless i bring the phone to the service center and log a case and passing the phone to them. then only they will order the battery.
if i'm not mistaken, i dont think battery can be sent through plane, so most probably it will take 2 - 4 weeks just for the battery to arrive. seriously, whats the point of having removable battery while you cant purchase it on the store front (or at the very least the service center, without having to order) and need to log a case with service center before you can get to purchase a new battery? Not to mention, i wont be able to use the phone after submitting it to the service and need to pay for the new battery (as the battery warranty is only 6 months). And need to apply leave to go to the service center as it is not open on weekends. as much i like Windows 10, this will most likely be my last MS windows phone unless the after sales service over here improve. |

QUOTE(KayK @ Oct 10 2016, 12:15 PM) i experienced this issue lately. I have perform hard reset (using about --> reset), now i'm thinking of flashing the phone using computer. else i might consider sending back for warranty. any of you guys solved your issue? I just got mine from GEM5 during the sale last month - sealed new set - at first it wouldn't update - so I had to flash the phone with WDRT on PC - then it was ok. Only used it 2 weeks - didn't encounter problems like yours - although mine auto rebooted a few times after a day - sometimes it can go over 3 days and still be fine. I suspect the problem related to camera and SD cards. Other than that - no issues - battery life is reasonable doesn't warm up when idle - I use all features - glance, iris scan, etc. Are you using a SD Card - what is the size? I read going above 64GB on certain brands can cause problems. Microsoft is either slowly going low-profile on mobile or leaving it so even their support center won't be too helpful for weird issues like rebooting, etc.. Sad to read Sunway pyramid store closing down - the klcc store closed in august - the 1u, curve and pavilion stores still there - I suppose these will be gone by month end from what you wrote. Maybe you can try this: 1. Flash the phone with WDRT. 2. Sign in Hotmail. Do not restore from a backup. Update STORE app first - pause all the others. (otherwise updating apps will be slow) 3. Proceed to update ALL the other apps. 4. Reboot. 5. Update the phone with whatever new updates available from Settings/Phone update. 6. At this point - the phone should be on the latest update - I performed another reset (from the About screen) one more time just to be safe - but its optional. 7. Update all the default Windows apps. 8. Reboot. 9. Install your own apps. This post has been edited by lyn_grayskale: Oct 26 2016, 04:45 PM |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I already tried that before deciding to drop by to the service center. even remove the microSD card (mine only 32GB Samsung brand). - flash using WDRT, and even use the phone with pre-anniversary update. But it still "shut down" or random reboots whenever the phone feels like it I am most certainly sure that my issue is caused by the battery. The battery is slightly bulged and my issues usually arises when power is below 50%, is like there's not enough power to operate the phone. Whenever i'm plug in, via computer USB or the original charger, i didn't experience the issue. This is the first phone that i use which the battery kaput in less than a year. I been using 920 for almost 14 months, then 1520 which i been using for around 16 months. I know MS exiting the consumer market and waiting for the next "big thing" but at least provide a decent service to existing customers, and waiting 2-3 months for a battery replacement is not really a good experience. Now I don't really know what to do with the phone, get another phone and sell the 950 XL or wait for the battery. What if I didn't use the phone for a couple of months and when i start to use it with the new battery replacement other problems arise due too long didn't use the phone? |
