The RM1599 is still listed at Lazada MY, albeit it is currently out of stock since yesterday noon.microsoft australia selling unlocked 950xl for aud499, 950 for aud399 only... update: lzd now selling 950xl at rm1599.. http://www.lazada.com.my//50microsoft-lumi...nk-9069206.html Do you think I should buy? I am currently using my 3 Years Old Lumia 1020 - still working fine except the cracked screen. Lol. If I am buying the Lumia 950XL, I don't think I will opt for Insider. I prefer a stable Mobile phone. |

It is quite sad that Windows Mobile OS did not take off, as what analyst predicted in early days. It is sad. I am a big fans of Windows Mobile OS. My first Smartphone OS is Windows. I fell for it initially is primarily due to its OS Design. I still do right now.
However, after 3 Windows OS Phone from HTC Windows Phone 7, Nokia Lumia 620 then Lumia 1020. I jumped ship to Redmi 3S. Late last year but still using a Lumia 640XL Windows 10 Mobile on the side. I kinda want to replace my Lumia 640XL with 950XL because my experience with 640XL really lagged. Do you guys find so? How's is the experience of 950XL on Windows 10 Mobile? But should I burnt so much money on a dying hardware? I honestly do not think Windows 10 Mobile is dying anytime soon. It is still the best Mobile OS, though with (sadly) very limited Apps. QUOTE(mf_yamato @ Feb 25 2017, 09:25 AM) 950xl hardware is still future proof (sd820 processor, 3gb ram), I see. I understand what you mean, @mf_Yamato.what they need to fix is the os ecosystem.. I could say Windows 10 Mobile OS is the most active OS in the market right now, in terms of OS Developer keep fixing and pushing features. Not exactly active in terms of Users Anyway, it doesn't matter to me. What matter to me the most is Windows commitment to its Windows Mobile. That's enough for me. I prefer Windows 10 Mobile UI & Lifestyle. I'm not exactly an App person but I agreed that Apps could simplify some daily tasks especially during on the go. I am neither a hardcore a Phone person too. If I am on my desk, I prefer to use Laptop. But it is just me. All these isn't making my life easier - should I replace my Lumia 640XL with 950XL? Anyone here has experience or own these two Phones? |

QUOTE(justifyer @ Feb 26 2017, 03:45 AM) I agree with you that it's not dying. MS will keep funding money for WP. It's just NOW is not their priority. They are pushing Windows 10 and WP will piggyback on it. I'm using 950XL as my main and keep a cheap RM300 Wiko on the side. Even then, I can't find the need to use the android that much, except for some seldomly used banking & telco apps. Probably I'm too invested in the MS ecosystem. Damn, catching others WOW at your presentation's setup is priceless! Haha.As for the 950XL itself, my experience seems to be just fine. I went from Lumia 800 (1st smartphone) to 930 to the current 950XL. I was stuck with high-end phone from the beginning that makes me reluctant to try a lower specs one. Some sweet features that I regularly use are wireless charging, dual sim, Windows Hello (when it works), double tap to wake, glance screen, and the sweet2 usb type-c, paired with the Display Dock, it's a killer. I do meetings and presentations for software development at the office just using the phone + mouse + keyboard + teamviewer to my pc, and it blows everyone's mind. XD As others already mentioned, if you can get it at RM1350, that's quite a bargain. Yeah, I will get it. But the price just go up, almost 1.5K now! Sigh~ Apala However, with Maxis One Club can get 15% additional discount. Too bad, I am not Maxis user This post has been edited by weirdguy: Feb 28 2017, 08:18 PM |

Hey everyone,
Finally. I decided. I got my Lumia 950 XL from Lazada. It has been about 2 week. Not yet my Main Phone, because I would like to do a gradual transition. The only thing that I find troublesome is the keyboard. I find the auto correction somewhat lagged, compare to WP 8.1. I am thinking to go for Nillkin Back Cover which I find the Nillkin quite reliable. All my Lumia 620, 1020, 925 uses only Nillkin case. Good quality, simple design at affordable price. I am also eyeing the Mozo but it is gila expensive le! What you guys think? Also, I want to get Display Port but I find the price isn't that appealing. QUOTE(reddevil87 @ Nov 12 2017, 12:47 PM) I think there is but the price doesn't say worth at all especially Windows Mobile 10 is dead.QUOTE(McF7y @ Nov 13 2017, 08:09 AM) Because it is super cheap. Great Camera though lagged. And most importantly, my wife don't wish to switch!QUOTE(fantasy1989 @ Nov 13 2017, 08:57 AM) windows phone no more support already ..i would not advise you to get it anymore Yeah, I understand. I know that Windows Mobile 10 is dead. Officially. it's really a good phone ..but windows 8 phone now messenger pun x boleh pakai already I agreed with you, it is such a great phone. ---- Anyway, MOZO Accessories is running a limited number of Genuine Dark Wood Case for Lumia 950XL. For those, who might be interested. Crazy expensive but it is quite personal. Lol. |

I'm thinking to grab Samsung A8 to replace my about-1year-old 950XL.
I'd been a Windows Phone/Mobile since Windows Phone started and the hype of Smartphone. Although I do own a Xiaomi and still has it right now, I don't think it is suitable for my primary phone. It is too low end. Yet I don't feel like buying S8 or Oneplus 5T, over RM2,500 over such device. I might as well save more to buy a Laptop like XPS. I'm generally prefer surfing or working on a laptop, than a phone. What you guys think? Lol. Asking such question in this post. This post has been edited by weirdguy: Jan 17 2018, 05:48 PM |

Thanks for the suggestion.
I actually hope for a slightly smaller phone like 5.5 or smaller. Anything bigger than Lumia 950XL might not something I hope for. FE have good and comparative specs oh! The Pen looks functional le! Why not A8 first? This post has been edited by weirdguy: Jan 17 2018, 10:36 PM |
