i experienced this issue lately.
using phone, then the phone would suddenly goes black screen, sometime when double tap it will show lockscreen for around 1 sec then goes black
when this happens, i need hold the power button more than 10 sec to force restart.
sometimes my phone would also randomly restarts, still trying to find the source of the issue.
I have perform hard reset (using about --> reset), now i'm thinking of flashing the phone using computer.
else i might consider sending back for warranty.
any of you guys solved your issue?
I assume this is the 950XL?
I just got mine from GEM5 during the sale last month - sealed new set - at first it wouldn't update - so I had to flash the phone with WDRT on PC - then it was ok. Only used it 2 weeks - didn't encounter problems like yours - although mine auto rebooted a few times after a day - sometimes it can go over 3 days and still be fine. I suspect the problem related to camera and SD cards. Other than that - no issues - battery life is reasonable doesn't warm up when idle - I use all features - glance, iris scan, etc.
Are you using a SD Card - what is the size? I read going above 64GB on certain brands can cause problems.
Microsoft is either slowly going low-profile on mobile or leaving it so even their support center won't be too helpful for weird issues like rebooting, etc..
Sad to read Sunway pyramid store closing down - the klcc store closed in august - the 1u, curve and pavilion stores still there - I suppose these will be gone by month end from what you wrote.
Maybe you can try this:
1. Flash the phone with WDRT.
2. Sign in Hotmail. Do not restore from a backup. Update STORE app first - pause all the others. (otherwise updating apps will be slow)
3. Proceed to update ALL the other apps.
4. Reboot.
5. Update the phone with whatever new updates available from Settings/Phone update.
6. At this point - the phone should be on the latest update - I performed another reset (from the About screen) one more time just to be safe - but its optional.
7. Update all the default Windows apps.
8. Reboot.
9. Install your own apps.
