Reading all the reviews on the net and this thread, i can say i am very glad i didn't buy this phone first. Was considered to pre-order from lazada few weeks ago, luckily i didn't.

Havent watched the video yet, but there's been quite a number of OS and app updates if this was using their US retail unit. Hmmm review published today so could be after some of the patches, guess have to watch later and see if what problems they're mentioning.

Serious why u guys so disturbed by just one negative review. That guy is not the final say in all things mobile
You know he prefer to use the Bberry Priv cos of the keyboard only!!
I am running Windows 10 on my 640xl n I find his comments tend be over exaggerated
It is always easy to run down any phone if one doesn't like it !!

Not to mention the fact that any other phone that runs Windows 10 right now is on the generic not for production Windows 10 build, you're really not supposed to be surprised that things don't work!

Honestly, this is the most stable half baked or cook Windows smartphone I used to date. Not regret owned it as my daily smartphone. Something unique out of the crowd icon_idea.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

True, it's over priced and it's a fan boy gadget. cool2.gif

For those who want to try Windows 10, get the 640XL DS LTE instead. rolleyes.gif

For those jump ship folks, this will not be your toy unless you have spare $$$$ notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Technically MS bought all the important hardware bits, so wonder what this new Nokia can bring to the table?

I should have expected that with just a USB-C to USB 2.0 port cable, the phone wouldn't be able to power a hard disk, but seems like even the display dock is not able to do it.

With the cable it's also having some random problems with my USB 3.0 Kingston Card Reader, could be because as a USB 3.0 device it wants to draw more current but the phone can't give it. You can constantly hear the device connect/disconnect sound when it runs out of power.. ie.. just like what happens when your notebook USB port can't power something properly.

But when it works.. GREAT way to preview GoPro 4K footage on the go!

My wife's Lumia 950 has been having issues with WhatsApp. She gets notified of incoming message on WhatsApp but when she opens the app, she can see all the various message threads but when she opens the new message specifically, she gets a blank white screen.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and soft reset the phone to no avail. My next option would be a hard reset, I suppose.

I have reverted to her old Lumia 930 for now as WhatsApp is an important messaging tool for her.

Any ideas to solve this? Please help.

I think I managed to solve the issue. My current storage setting is that all pics and videos are stored in the Micro SD card. When I change it back to store in the phone, WhatsApp works again! I believe WhatsApp only works when stored on the phone itself. It can only be installed on the phone memory only. Hence I believe any attachments (pics and videos) have to be stored on the phone memory itself. rclxms.gif

I hope this is it. Hope this helps those with similar issue. thumbup.gif
