If I remember the offer, the data plan is 10GB a month, and you get free voice calls within the company or something. As with all telco plans, it's just a matter of does it suit your needs, if not it's usually cheaper to buy it without the plan.

Ok, DirectD in Federal Highway stock is in.. and still got the dock!

The phone is hot when you use the dock and activate continuum because the battery is being charged as well. And there's always heat when batteries are being charged.

Media programs from commercial companies like MS won't play AC3 or DTS that easily because they need to pay for the licensing.

As for the rich capture images I noticed that sometimes it fails to process and I can see temp files stuck in the picture folder and yet I can set the brightness anymore. Wondering if that has anything to do with the sd card I stuck in, but I'll save images back to device and see how well it works.

On a side note, I bought a generic USB-C to USB AF cable from All IT just now and it didn't work. I wonder if it's the cable or there's still more to this stupid USB-C spec that I don't know about, kinda like how messed up USB OTG was in the beginning.

I managed to get the .289 update yesterday. I don't think the new .3XX is out yet though.

As others havr mentioned make sure brightness is set to auto because that will allow it to boost pass the static maximum brightness, also make sure you didn't disable sunlight readability under Extras->Color Profile that'll allow the screen to change the color to a more viewable pallete under sunlight.

As for the iris scanner. Try to use improve recognition under different lighting conditions, and staring at the red light seems to give the reader a sense of consistency when trying to read your eyes.

*Edit* wait.. why stare at the red light when you should stare at the front camera? Duh... just do that when setting it up and also when trying to unlock. Also remember.. it wants BOTH eyes to be in view.

You have a good point.. I guess that's for the next version, can't use facial recognition unless they have a 3D cam like the Surface Pro 4, 2D cam too easily cheated by pictures.

Hmm.. one of the main problems I'm seeing is my "All Settings" app stop being responsive to taps though I think it only happens after I use Miracast to extend the screen.

By the way, if you want to use Miracast for Continuum or screen mirroring purposes, highly recommend the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. Best Miracast experiience I've had aside from the Xbox1, stable, responsive, low lag.

Which is why I cancelled the order from them and got it from DirectD instead the moment I found out they had the free dock too!

good news, the usb c. to usb port cable i bought from all it actually works!



so, if you only need a usb port on your phone and dont have the dock, you can get this relatively cheaper cable at RM39

Bad news, it means that previously when it didnt work, it was just failing silently, remember that if the cable is working, you'll. hear the familiar hardware inserted sound whenyou plug something in. if it doesn't... try restarting your phone.

DirectD was the only other place I knew got free dock. you checked both Subang and Federal Highway?

Same price RM2999.. But... you get an EXTRA 32GB memory card.

Trying to nail down when it happens. But my irresponsive settings screen might have something to do with me using a weird Miracast receiver, also seems to flip my rotation lock status.

It takes some time for the battery meter to calibrate, give it a week and see.
