I think that's a Xiaomi feature bro. I use Samsung and I've always had to turn-off/on bluetooth on my phone then ask it to connect to my pug. If you have an alternative method (or app), please let me know!

Maybe that has something to do with Bluetooth low energy on new phones. Irritated by this. Sigh

Be ALERT of your temperature sensor!

Last week when i stopped my car, i heard water leaking sound and saw a lot of water dripping from the engine bay to the floor. When i open the hood, coolant level already empty. Water burst out from the coolant cap and there are boiling sound from inside the engine. Luckily this happen to me while the engine already stopped.

Next morning, i topup coolant/water level and start the engine, everything seems ok except the temperature sensor didnt go up at all. So i drove the car to SC. During driving temp reading fluctuate from 0 to 90degc. When arrive at SC, the tech mention temp sensor issue. Then i ask him, should there be a recall of it? Then he checked yes there is recall for my car for temp sensor and water pump.

The thing is, i believe this recall issue has long been issue for older cars. They didnt take the effort to check my car recall status during normal servicing last 2 months. Why wait until serious failure occur then only talk about recall?!!

When your temperature sensor wrongly show lower temperature, the engine system will think the engine already cool therefore it will stop water circulation and lead to high temperature.

Anyway just as a guide, my car temp sensor has been hovering around 70 to 90 degC for quite a few months already. Just take note that its a sign that your temp sensor got issue. And better personally ask them to check for recall during your service visit and insist for appointment.

Oh really? Then what should be the correct temperature? I thought ive read in this thread before if for turbo its normal 70-90 deg

Nope. Before xiaomi, I was using Samsung. Totally no issue with the BT as well.

The temp. should be exactly 90 deg.,not more not less. 90 deg is the optimum operating temp. As most ppl are not aware, I wrote extensively on this for the benefit of all. Look back on the thread.

If you can't find it, just remember it must be 90 deg. The engine will develop problems if operated outside optimum temp. for prolong periods. This applies even for prolong operation below 90deg.

It is not like the old engines where thermostat open and shut to maintain coolant temperature. On this engine thermostat controls coolant temperature, but is regulated by ECU.If the ECU dose not get the right feedback signals, command signals will be erroneous which in turn will cause problems for the engine.

Yes even on my cheap Samsung was no issue. But now I got myself an expensive HTC one, have ended with this problem of no auto connect.

I think the problem is with Peugeot's BT. I'm guessing it operating on a very narrow bandwith. Anything out of it will not auto connect.

Here's one very unhappy Ford Focus owner who claims his 2&1/2 year ownership a traumatic experience. I can understand, as there seems to be no solution to the problem. I'm on the 4th year,my gb is smooth and lovely roar from the engine. What a great choice this car is,simply love this Lion!

I'm  keen to sell off after 2 and half years of traumatic experience  driving  Ford Focus , and later discovered the low resale value.  Despite my car come with loan interest subsidy and enjoying  20% discount for servicing  and parts at SDAC ,  this car is not worth to own it after 5 years of warranty period .

I dun think clutch changing will come cheap after warranty period , drove  for 2 and half year with 2 times clutch changed! Huhuuuuuuuu.......

Yes bro, most ppl don't know the improvement brought on this engine. They have no clue how reliable this Prince/gb combo is. They bash this engine out of their own ignorance, based on outdated information from the old engines!

The new Prince fitted on the facelift Peugeots are even better with further refinements.

Look how serious the Focus problem is:
QUOTE(karl039 @ Jan 24 2016, 08:39 PM)
after 30k mileage of riding fofo

for me, the transmission is really2 not reliable and is not normal. there is no such thing as normal jerking, normal grinding sounds, normal locked  transmission due to overheating. how many of us need the clutch pack to be change or replaced? is it normal to have a new batch or cars that have so long waiting list for their transmission to be replaced?
my 10yo camry can accelerate better.
my 10+ years waja can travel to n fro for 1000KM + caught in KL traffic jam without any problem but my fofo already gave hot transmission issue like already 4 times in a year after just 30 mins of traffic jam in cameron highland. even my friend used to ask me what happened to FOFO because he saw like 4 FOFO been parked at the roadside in a traffic jam near KL

im not complaining n wining ( sorry to those who are really hard core fan of ford ) but if we love ford, we need to tell them something. i really cannot digest the words " the transmission will adapt to your driving habit" its not like the car has AI or brain matter that can evolve or transform over time.

just got back from Kelantan, again at every 30 and 70 km/h the engine/transmission wil give like "grrrrrr" sound + horse riding kind of jerking and like the transmission will drop off anytime soon. difficult to heavy pedal the car because afraid other passenger will notice the sound and will ask "bunyi ape tu". ok so i need clutch pack change? does the change will make any big difference till i will be carefree later? if we notice, we keep on discussing about the jerky and lost of power + grinding till dont know when.

we need to make a petition and some voice out like what been done by the VW owner previously regarding their DSG issue. i love my ford, im hoping to keep the car for at least 5 years ( most of it because of my 9 years loan ) - im so disturbed whenever by heart whisper to me " do you regret of buying FOFO after tens of thousand spent? "

sorry and thanz

Just got all 5 tyres change by Sc today. All in good conditions. This is the replacement I am getting due to claim. Saleman also share some info about the temperature sensor and other parts which needed to replace during the up coming 5 years warranty. It is because the car is fitted with some of the parts which is not for out climate.

Hi guys. Got the "Engine Fault: Repair Needed" error today. Second time already since last Thursday. Went to the Kota Damansara SC last Friday. He said most likely sensor issue, but no time to repair until after CNY. Told me to make a booking after CNY. Any advice from owners here? Go to another SC? Start the engine today, engine jerked a little then the error appear. Let it rest for about 15 min, then start again. This time jerked even more and then engine died. Then battery died, cannot start anymore. Same symptoms last time. Had to borrow a car to go to work.

That one later will totally shrink in time.
Mine I removed all the junk rubber and fill it with black silicon instead. Use some masking tape to make it look nice and straight

But if yours under warranty better get it changed cos it is not wear and tear parts, its non moving parts, I'm sure get the warranty.
