Manufacturer says the Vmax which is 215km/h, is limited by the ECU.

5,300 r.p.m. at 6th gear is equivalent to about 221km/h according to the calculation from the manufacturer's data given. I believe if it's not due to the limitation from the ECU, it could have gone faster.

Mine to share which part of the expressway you were running at that speed? North-South Expressway between Seremban to Malacca? I find it's difficult to drive at that speed on two lanes only freeway unless the time required to achieve the Vmax is shorter.

My run was on the new Penang bridge. Its mostly empty but very susceptible to wind. When it's windy or even drizzling, you need to drive much more slower than compared to the normal highway.

I guess that was second bridge, don't think you can drive that fast on the northern bridge.

Benefit of warranty depends largely on luck or badluck. Some guys had a lot of claims, warranty was great benefit to them, otherwise a big hole in the pocket.

As for me in the last three years claim 3 small items only. But I still think it is worth keeping first 3 year warranty. My car has been really good, very smooth gb and healthy engine. Now if I can find a good Peugeot workshop, I'm surely going to break warranty. I;m going to try Euro Tech Auto at Taman Mayang, PJ.

Will let you guys know the quality of work.

Yeah that is right, plugs should be changed at 45kkm.

Actually I was very surprised to read your problem, especially since the EP6CDTM is very reliable. I've also read other threads where ppl have said this engine to be 'bullet proof' in terms of reliability. Finally good to hear your problem was not the engine, but just dirty plugs.

My confidence on this engine is intact thumbup.gif I follow service schedules very strictly, personally check what has been done after every service! I'm on the 4th year, my engine & gb are very smooth, working really well!

Owner has to pay for plug change. Might as well do it at your next service.

I'm surprised that a car need to be towed because of dirty spark plugs. For most cars it just results in rough idling. Are French cars so fragile?

Read Tan's initial posting carefully before making assumptions! It's his choice to tow!

Have no literature to confirm this, but feel it may be 'engine offload' limit programmed at ECU. Do you need to exceed 4K at N for any purpose?

I think those with ECU remapping & race chip experience will be able to help you better.

Never found the need to rev over 4k rpm at Neutral. Will try later if and get back to you. But when driving, cant rev more 6500 rpm (i cant remember exactly). ECU rev cut.

Hope this help.

Tks for your feedback bro. I too never had the need to rev during neutral, a bit confused why anyone would want to.

Redline cut off is as you know to prevent cooking the Prince! Anyway, love my Lion too much to stress her that much!
