Get your battery checked then. You can get it checked at tyre shops as well. I did for mine, they said it almost about to die. maybe can run for few more weeks.

Hi To All Sifu's,
I have been reading this forum since 408t launched. I have been a proud owner for 3 years until recently problems occur.
I) Themostat sensor faulty 2) Air con Compressor not working 3) Engine leaking oils 4) High & low pump problems
1) Solved 2,3 & 4 ) I desperately need all Sifu's advice. My car had been in Chan Sow Lin sc for 2 weeks now. They need to do documentation for adjuster to make the claim. Now have to wait for atleast 14 working days for insurance adjuster to come and then dunno how long more for the claims to be approve. That's alright since i know claims always need time. They are filing for compressor and the pumps claims. The SC advice me to change the aircon condenser as well since it will directly link to compressor. Price about RM 2300 ...labor FOC. Shall I change? or change outside workshop? Another my concern is the engine leaking oil, sc suggest to change tensioner, pad...etc. Sorry i dunno the term names. total damage for these will be another RM 2700. Shall I proceed?
Hopefully all SIfu's able to give me an advice. Deeply appreciate.

My car just enter the extended warranty so SC said couldn't file for unbroken parts. Must prove that the part is truly spoilt to make claim. SC just advice me to change on my own expenses so that in future new compressor won't be affected by old condenser. Sigh..... Thanks you for your feedback

Thanks you for your feedback I suggest dont replace condenser and take the risk. If your compressor broke down again within extended warranty period, u can still claim. If it broke outside warranty, can replace both compressor and condenser at outside workshop. Last year i replaced my compressor + condenser + labor, all cost rm2000. Compressor n condenser from Denso. No issue up to now. But that shop in kedah not sure price around KL. Contact Ah Hui 0164278810.

Even the SC rep keep on saying if next time compressor spoilt because of old condenser than it is not able to make claim... Any of you change timing pretensioner and others stuffs that link to engine oil leakage b4? Quoted by Chan Sow Lin SC about RM2700...izzit ok to deal with them or outside workshop? Please advice....many thanks

Hi Sifu,
May I know what brand (Yokohama, Century?) and type (DIN55 or DIN65 or DIN 66) car battery used for Peugeot 408, 2.0.? My battery is about to gong.
My Peugeot Melaka service center previously told me is DIN55, then today due to not about to start my car (after an hour i managed to start), then i drove to Kajang Center and they question me why I used DIN 55 not original DIN65. I'm super confused over here and need all sifu here to advise.
