So meaning to decide either to buy e-THP facelift or New Civic Turbo..
*
Turbo Civic certainly very tempting. No doubt Hondas are well known for reliability. However Peugeots have come a long way. 408thp/gb combo is now proven reliability.

Now that reliability isn't a issue, I would tip towards 408e. Also an important factor for me is interior designs. French interiors appear unique, love the out of the box styles.

Test drive both cars, see which is to your liking!

You remember I said our champions are complacent! Your fax to dealer was a kick on his backside to get moving.

Major service every 60km or 36months whichever comes first if during warranty period.

Water pump and timing chain for 408 some got recall. But if you are using belt, then yours is 408 2.0 NA

Mine is 2.0. 2 years and 8 months.i tot major service will be carry out during mine mileage on 90k km?

You're correct, sir. Even the bank called me asked not to cancel the loan. So, for the 1st time in many weeks, its the dealer who update me on the status. Not me asking the dealer on daily basis.

in fact the sc will only get their commission after you got your car and bank released money to the dealer isn't it??
in this instance they should act fast in order to collect their commission fast....

Just back from Pug Balakong, change of Aircond Compressor...Surprisingly, so many cars queuing to replace the compressor. According to the pomen, most of the 408 models esp 1.6THP will having this defect in 3-5 years. Luckily it was under warranty.

Procedure to claim if car has exceeded 3 years.
1) 1st appointment - diagnos the air-cond problem, submit form to claim the extended warranty (by Tune Insurance) - process will takes 2-3 weeks.

2) 2nd appointment - change parts subject to availability. Mine is out of stock, have to wait from French. Actual duration taken 40 days as compared to Pug SOP at 75 days.

If beyond the warranty, actual compressor price is RM 3,700++ excldg labour. Really feel the El-Nino for past 2 months. sweat.gif

Now you call the shots la.

Bro, this is a really nice & enjoyable car to drive. Like any new car, there will be issues. Nothing major, usually qc items & SC are now well capable to handle it. After warranty maintenance is now reasonable as many Peugeot workshops have opened.

IMO there is no other car, conti /Jap or Korean, at this price with this performance!

Today change my almost slick Michelin PS3 (215/50/17) whistling.gif to Hankook S1 Noble2 (225/45/17)....change at Shell Bandar Kinrara 2.
Damage: RM312 x 4 (including GST,balancing, alignment, free nitrogen gas every month and tyre rotation every 10K km)

Gonna miss the superb PS3 due to low budget this month cry.gif ...will test the hankook before giving my review on the tyre.

After 8k Km, the best part of Noble 2 is the wet grip, responsiveness and most importantly comfort and quietness. Dry I would say quite similar to MC5 but the others just way better than MC5.
