Don know, wait that day they'll announce/reveal it.

I think yes, no more 5/10/20, because the price is almost the same for 10mbps with 30 mbps, while 20mbps same price with 50mbps.

That means no more 5/10/20 mbps for home users ?

Fiber to the home.

ADSL/VDSL is for condo which use old cable which cannot be change to fiber.

Interesting, it will be a challenge. Many of my friends, still rather stay on ADSL, cause FTTH needs new cabling and potential hacking of walls (not to look so ugly with cables running along the wall).

It will be good to see TM enforcing this. Even in US, dial up is still widely being used. (google AOL main revenue income, it tells about dial up contributing a larger portion of income).

-No more branding Streamyx
-All start with UniFi from 1 Mbps till 50Mbps.Will have their own variants.100Mbps maybe next year.
-FTTH will start from 30Mbps.No more 5/10/20 after this for FTTH
-VDSL and ADSL will cater 20Mbps and below
-Don’t expect pricing cut but more on values add in. biggrin.gif

So I just received my email and got confirmation that I have been upgraded to 50Mbps.

Any good router to suggest that can allow me to get maximum speed? My computer is about 3 meters away from the router. My current router (RT-12) allow up to 25Mbps only.

RT-N12? That is 300mbps speed.

802.11b : 1, 2, 5.5, 11Mbps
802.11g : 6,9,12,18,24,36,48,54Mbps
802.11n : up to 300Mbps

After all u need check ur wireless chipset. If u are on G/N den try set different channel see which one better speed smile.gif

I recommend getting a Wireless AC router. It depends on your budget. smile.gif

You can take a look at the list I compiled. http://www.blacktubi.com/unifi/unifi-repla...nt-router-list/

Would you be able to let us know why RT 12 despite being rated for 300Mbps bandwidth, cannot cope up with 50Mbps? After reading from previous few posts I already know my router is limited to maximum 30Mbps only (even before I upgrade).

Just want to know. smile.gif

Existing Streamyx ADSL can be upgraded to VDSL without cable upgrade or not?

Actually it can support much more sweat.gif

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Very-high-bit...bscriber_line_2

I have checked mine, I'm getting 50Mbps downstream and 10Mbps upstream on my router page for Unifi 30 package and yes I'm on VDSL (not sure if it's VDSL or VDSL2 though)
