It's kinda scary. Feels as though the car will keep cranking on and on and on... That would be terrible, if it would crank non stop it could burn the starter motor and drain the battery flat.

this morning wanted to drive to work......start my car and wanted to open the windows......all 4 power window button malfunction.......and my car only less then a week old.

made appointment with proton edar puchong jaya service centre tomorrow to check my car........hope nothing else gonna give me more trouble.

It's a common feature among european cars

I understand that Proton is doing their best and integrating all these new cool toys to our more budget friendly line of vehicles, but, do these things happen to the owners of the Preve and Suprima too? I guess they also had some issues here and there, no?

Does anybody know about experiences from friends or family with other Protons? I have only had Perodua so far in Malaysia and this is my first Proton. I have not had "real" or permanent issues with mine, other than the ones I've mentioned before, but they were basically a one time thing.

Hmmmm cool about the mileage, but let me ask you something... Have your lines on the temperature and fuel gauge always been continuous? In my car, those lines are segmented. Look at this shot.

I wonder if after the first service they will update the ECU and this will be an aesthetic change?

Or, only automatic models are like this?

Hahaha that was a very optimistic estimation, it was more like... 480 Km

so far not much problem with iriz.......and this is my 5th proton cars that i own (currently saga blm auto, iswara sedan manual and iriz cvt......proton have really improved)

maybe u have accidently locked the windows via the button pointed by mmmm4

yup....tried with lock and unlock this button........hopefully nothing serious........

anyway i can kill 2 birds with one stone.......will see if the have internal hand grips, rear boot light and rear boot trunk scuff plate cover available at this service centre too

tried but no different or effect.......

driver side still can open when locked if im not mistaken.

yes.....normally when lock this button, the driver's window still can be open.......but mine now all window cannot open

Guys, from what i know for car like iriz(computerized) it's better for you to wait at Acc/On until all the light switched off (air bag and etc) then start the car. This will allow the system to check everything before starting the car.

So for cars with Push to Start then the sequence would be: Press button without clutch (in Neutral position, obviously) and then wait for checks to be performed while the light is amber on the button, and then clutch in (green light on button) and start. Correct?

I wonder if this is the regular sequence for all other cars too.
