I would definitely say I used the brake a lot, maybe it could be attributed to my habit as well, I'm just used to braking blush.gif

The 1.6 also feel 'slower' than the 1.3 during acceleration. Test drive it back to back and you would see what I meant.

EDIT: this is for the CVT variant, the MT could be a different beast altogether.

before i've decided to buy 1.6 i test drive 1.3 cvt..pickup is slightly better than 1.6 but when overtaking 1.6 wins by miles
but the slow pickup will be solved once u exceed 5000km..my car got no slow pickup now, unless if i press it slowly to save fuel

What is the top speed for 1.3 CVT? Is it 160km/h?

Well I didn't test top speed for Iriz but just now when I went out for dinner I did rev the car to 4k rpm and the speed was around 140km/h but it was just a short stint, had not enough room as the highway wasn't clear. Oh and also, it was my first guilty-free 4k rev, I suspect more 4k revs to come in the future whistling.gif


Anyway, with fresh engine oil the acceleration and pick up power feels so so so much better. When my car was around the 800-900km mark the car started to feel heavy and sluggish..

I noticed just now in showroom, 1.6 side bodykit got some extra plastic at the rear bottom. (the same plastic that a lot ppl complain about that breaks easily when go over humps). Don't know what's the purpose of that..

While the 1.3 Exec. dont have that extra plastic thingy.

When did Proton roll out the updates? Was it around January or April?

Cause I checked my car manufacturing date, it was around March. Initially I thought the updates came around April so yeah.. Unless it wasn't April then that would explain why there's no updates for my car as it is already updated in factory..

I believe the update was in mar. Got my car in jan, 1st service in feb and shortly after 1st service got call from proton asking to go for update.

For mine, touch screen having problem. Sometime it hangs, have to switch off my car and then restart the player. Anyone experience this?

Yeah, but seriously I drove myvi before. Felt the different even iriz got bunch of problem. Not a big deal to take 2 -3 months to solve the problems.. Then u will happy life with it biggrin.gif

1.3 top speed I got for my MT was 139km/h. I suspect that its ecu limited. Once warranty finishes, I plan to go for ecu tuning to unlock a lot of all these nonsense. RPM havent even touch 5k yet on 5th gear and I've already maxed out.

seriously? i drive my 1.3 MT chase my friend i manage to get 190+ on meter(idk if correct or not + idk the specific speed because focusing on road) you will need a lil bit downhill to reach 180 ~ 190.. you can reach 170 on even road easily..
+ yesterday i was chasing superbike i manage to get around 180 but hard to get more due to traffic..

thanks to all those have replied. really appreciate it.

for my driving i tend to take fast corner and some touge over the weekends, current birdie is running on hwl adjustable but custom tune with 4kg spring rate but something is still missing. i have driven the Myvi 1.5 but have yet to test the Iriz. NVH doesn't really matter much as i prefer handling more. the rest i can live with

will go for a test drive this weekend
