Loan approved. Going to sign it once I land back in KL.

Getting 1.6 CVT with 7.5k rebate. Hence, SA can only free me tint voucher worth RM500 and coil mat. Need to fork out additional RM500 for RhinePro XD5. Any comments on this brand?

Hi guys,

I am planning to get Proton Iriz 1.3 Manual Standard. The thing is I'm still studying, but my parents agreed to be my guarantor.

As of that, I'm just wondering where can I find the best deal around? (Selangor/KL)

Oh and if you guys don't mind if I ask, are there any pros and cons of getting this variant? (there are more than 80 pages to read), a little help would save the hassle.  tongue.gif

Thanks in advance!

P/s: I've been lurking in lowyat for so long, I guess it's time to say something.

Hi, I know a SA that can give you a good deal. I have surveyed so many outlets and he can give out his commission more than others.

PM me your contact no. and I will ask him to call you.

Cheers smile.gif

I think for the manual model the Push to Start button sequence is not thoroughly thought out. I have had similar issues and I have no solutions for it yet. I think this would need a software update and get the car plugged in at Proton once they have it figured out. Same thing goes to leaving the car in neutral, which is a bit annoying (I never do it, I just leave it in reverse all the time).
*
Oh my. Any idea is there any issue like delay for Push Start CVT? I'm getting the car next week. Can't wait for it!

Have you sign your loan agreement?

I will sign it only tomorrow. my SA insisted that I'll get my car before the month ends.. And she keep saying that blue is hard to get..silvermoon dust easier
maybe because never heard of it before so never realizedĀ  tongue.gif
*
Hey, i've signed the agreement on 11/11. SA mentioned i can get it today but she blamed on the logistic issue so she'll check again tomorrow if can deliver it to me. Afraid she just want to buy time.

I like that colour the most but my wife doesn't like it so im getting Silver MoonDust as she loves it. smile.gif

Weird, my saga is getting around 11-12km/L. Maybe FLX is slightly better. Anyway, I also hope my soon-to-come Iriz will have better FC.

at least you already got your chasis number right? so the car is basically yours already. just not reach you yet  tongue.gif
*
Yup, got my chasis number already. Don't know why taking so long for them to send the car over to dealer. Hope no major problem during QC inspection.

How about you? Getting your chasis latest by end of this month?

HLB offer me 3.38 rates yesterday, but why everyone I saw here is like 3 or below 3? sad.gif
Is 3.38 normal at this circumstance?
if today rhb still no contact then maybe I'll go for HLB edi
can't wait
*
Mine is 3.2% for 50k from HLB. Ask your SA to cheat the Hire Purchaser by informing him / her (#Bank1) is offering (#amount that is lower). That's what my SA help me to nego with the banker.

First bank, PBB offer me 3.29 and she inform HLB that PBB is offering 3.25 :S

Where the location of chassis no..? My Dealer didn't tell me about chassis no. Even in loan letter and warranty book
*
Should be stated in our manual book / invoice. I got my chasis by asking my SA and it is in the Invoice. You can ask your SA to confirm again.

hi all sifu here,

i am thinking of buying a car to replace my aging birdie, the car that i had in mind is Iriz 1.6 mt and Myvi 1.5 mt

just wanna know if anyone here driving the 1.6 mt, how was the car?

thanks
*
If I'm in your position, I will close my eyes and go for Iriz 1.6MT definitely. More value for money with more comfortable ride compared to Myvi. Not forgetting the better safety features you will get.

However, suggest you to take both for a test drive to experience it see which one suits you more.

I would say MyVi more suitable for those who takes a car as a car.

Iriz is for those who are passionate about cars, who takes cares of the car in hope the car cares for the owner in return.
*
+1 Agree smile.gif Long live Iriz!

Good Iriz, I stucked at car park right now and my push start button aren't working.  Clap hands.... Got no idea what to do now..  Still have to back office for urgent matter.

Unlucky you. Try calling the 24/7 personnel?

I think they will tow your car to the nearest service centre for inspection.

Just got my car! Happy with it overall.

1. No rattling sound at dashboard. Got minor sound at the back door but just awhile (around 5 sec) then doesn't happen again. Will monitor again tmr.
2. Engine n exhaust sound not as noisy as what I expect from this forum. A lot better than my previous Saga FLX.
3. Push start button no problem. Start in 1 sec.
4. No volume fluctuation.
5. Touch screen responsive, no problem.

old way of thinking. Same as ppl advice to warm up car before moving. Totally pointless, wasting fuel and harming the environment. Not to forget, you don't even actually warm your car up by idling. Moving the car will get the engine warmed up in 1-2 mins but letting the car idle for 10 mins doesn't even get the engine warmed up enough for optimal performance.

20-30 years ago punya story..

Drive however you want during break-in period, just apply common sense to what you want to do to your car. Don't redline it, do burnouts or donuts, etc etc.

Machines & lubricants these days are so advanced, a lot of the "break-in practices" are practically myths..
*
Agree. Even the manual in Proton also updated with the fuel saving tips which is to drive right after starting the engine if possible. Idling with engine running at start will only waste petrol.

Any best and good proton SC near puchong  hmm.gif

Not sure if this is best but they are OK - Yes Car Care Centre Sdn. Bhd (No. 23-G, Jalan Industri PBP 3/1, Taman Industri Pusat Bandar Puchong, Puchong 47100 Selangor)

I still prefer Sin Siang Hin @ Cheras for their overall friendliness.

Anyone of you gotten yourself a cargo / trunk tray? If so, how much do you pay for it? I Googled and found out the prices range from RM80 ~ RM 180. blink.gif

u mean i suppose to get chassis number when i sign loan?
bt nt my case sad.gif
when can i get my car 😢
*
I suggest you to call your SA and ask them when are they going to send you the chasis number and car reg no. For my case, I get my car reg no 1 day after I do my booking and chasis number before loan approval. Lucky my SA is efficient.

Also, do write an email to HQ and tell them your case. They will shoot the email to respective departments and internal process will begin to 'wake up'.
