Best Express is a hit or miss depending on the location.

A few years ago, when I was working in Damansara Perdana, BE failed miserably. Every time I had a parcel with BE, they couldn’t deliver it even after a week, despite their delivery office being only 300 meters from my workplace. I always ended up having to collect the parcel myself.

Now, working in Glenmarie, they always deliver on the next working day, even though the delivery office is 16 kilometers away from my current workplace.

On a different note, really glad to hear we can track TMYLE in Best Express's tracking system—this will make it easier for everyone.

I'm buying something with li-ion battery built in (120mAh + 1400mAh, 2 batteries inside)

I'm buying from their official store on taobao

Taobao let's me pick both Air and Sea Shipping

I was just about to checkout but then remembered something about batteries

So, if I pick Air will I encounter trouble?
If I pick Sea should I be fine?

It's a "M5Stack CardPuter" btw for those curious

It was not taobao that let you pick both air and sea shipping. It was seller setting. Sometimes seller didn't set it correctly and we can buy prohibited cross border item. My experience last time was buying shinetsu lubricant. Liquid and gel was a prohibited for air shipping. Many time went through but one time was stuck. Kantoi already. Luckily seller was nice enough to help me rearrange the shipping to sea shipping. Better use sea shipping.

currently it's somewhere in the ocean otw

anyone else notice the English interface sometimes allow purchase and sometimes don't?

when it does allow a purchase in English interface, then I can choose direct ship and pay shipping charges up front to my doorstep.

When they don't, then the Chinese interface only allows shipping to consolidation warehouse, and you don't know the price to ship to your doorstep until later.

Anyone know how to opt for direct ship on Chinese interface, and able to check and pay the full shipping costs upfront?

or they will auto ship out once it receive your item?

Depends on the method you choose
If you choose 直邮 (Direct Mail Air Freight or Ship Freight) then no you don't have to do anything
If you choose 集运 (Consolidation Mail Air Freight or Ship Freight) then yes you may have to liaise with the warehouse

A word of cautionary, some items cannot use direct mail at all

Where is this option selected? I'm using English taobao but I don't recall seeing that

Many of us who've been using Taobao for a while skip the English interface, as it can sometimes be more confusing than the Chinese version. I don’t read Chinese either, but over time, I got the hang of it and now know where to tap and navigate.

Here’s a tip: take screenshots at each step and use the Google Translate app to translate them. After a while, you'll become familiar with the app, and the English interface won’t even be necessary.

Also, the Chinese version offers more features, coupons, and other perks that aren't available in the English version.

As for your question, please refer to the screenshot below for the location of the shipping method I mentioned earlier.

CNYMD – DHL eCommerce (I don't see them using this anymore)

Hi guys, how do we prevent Taobao account from being restricted? Recently my 1st account was restricted, and I have my phone number bound to this account. Tried verifying identity using passport and Alipay and it simply doesn't work.

I then created another account and managed to verify using my passport, now I can't link my phone number as it is bound to the previous account.

So my question is, will the account be restricted again if I did not bind any phone number to my new account?

Restricted due to account not verified, it needs to be verified with passport for foreigners.

in english app, they only show me 2 types (air and sea) haha, no wonder i never see the warehouse consolidation option

No sure what is prohibited from direct mail vs consolidation mail.

But I supposed some MagSafe stand item (with magnet) should’ve able to direct mail without issues right? (Because now got free direct mail to mal via air)
