After a streak of iphone upgrade each year, I would pass this round for the first time. RM4K++ is ALOT of money for a phone for a poor fag like me. But I ll be buying iPad Pro + Pencil 100% because i have waited it for years to help with my illustration works.

Uhh don't think that's how it works man haha. First, there's only a handful of Android devices that are more than RM2600, can count actually (Note 5, S6 Edge/+, can't  remember the rest that are more than RM2600). If it is more than 20, then i'll retract this statement. As for the depreciation, it clearly did not depreciate that fast. Look at the Note 3 and 4 when it came out. Even after a few months out it's still expensive. A new Note 4 now is still around RM1900-RM2000 which is clearly a RM300-RM400 depreciation after a year. Second hand also it still depreciate at a slow rate. If not, what you're saying now is i can buy a Sony Z3 at RM600 (first year RM1000 off, over a year another half more). You can search how much a Sony Z3 cost now which would clearly indicate that it depreciated at a slow rate (1800 after a year coming from RM2200).

What you may be referring to is the S6 Edge 32gb which costs RM3099. The market price for it now is RM2300-2400. In this case, then yes; it's the only phone for now that depreciated at a rapid pace. Maybe because the price was too high leading to low demand and ultimately low market value. So far this is the only Android phone that fits the description of a fast depreciating Android phone. As for the rest, i don't see any that faced a similar fate like the S6 Edge.

And we don't need to downplay Android as much; they've come a long way with a bunch of features and had the hold-for-options feature way before this 3D Touch thingy. Their features may not be flawless (laggy, sometimes not working, crash) but they still managed to realize the concept, which is a start.

I'm heading over to Singapore on the 24th this month for holiday, and so happens the phone is available the next day.  I'm staying over at Marina Bay Sands, can anyone here with experience of buying the iPhone from Singapore provide me with some advice on the below?

1. Buy from Apple Online Store or can get from their premium re-seller like EpiCenter?
2. If buy from Apple Online Store, cannot claim back the GST right?
3. If order from Apple Online Store, the address I should put hotel name and send to reception?

Firstly, how many days do you plan to stay in Singapore? Buying online during launch week will entail a long wait time, usually 2 week bare minimum.

1. Your best bet to get it on launch day is to go line up at a physical Apple store or premium re-seller.
2. AFAIK, if you're leaving SG via the causeway (ie, you're traveling by car or bus) - Cannot - https://www.iras.gov.sg/IRASHome/uploadedFi...20on%20eTRS.pdf (Q7). Some stores will sometimes waive the GST if you buy with a foreign credit card, but those are usually small private businesses and not chain stores). If buying from online store, confirm cannot.
3. You need to check with your hotel. Different hotels have different policies. A hotel with such high traffic like MBS, I'm doubtful unless you're a VIP guest.

This is generally true. But I have a suspicion it's more of a Samsung problem than an Android one...

1) are u using i6plus? i am and my experience on safari is horrible.. i cant shift app and return without reloading. 2gb is way due.

2) camera always got improvement with each new iphone. so nothing new there. next year it will be the same script again on camera and processor.

3) i personally dont do video recording on my phone. so doesnt apply to me.

4) the 3d touch is a gimmick, just like Siri, which i dont use at all.. and siri was touted as the nxt big thing..

but i do agree that iOS is simple to use. so used to it already..haha.. but with the current iphone prices, i might shift to other phones nxt year coz the functions dont justify the pricing.

i mostly record video.. to many video until my 32gb is not enough.. no games on phone 

and the the 3d touch i think is good.. for ppl maybe use alot email things.. need to reply or compose really2 fast..

i'm using 5s.. plan to upgrade to 6.. but that not impress me at all.. all the same except screen size and resolution. no offense  to many ppl jump because of size of course and a lot of casing 

even 5s quality image a little bit better than 6.. follow the  circumstances condition laa..   

plan to take 6s 128gb..hope price not touch 4k lol..btw still waiting review for 6s

how it works? well first u buy the iphone, then ship to the address hopshopgo gave u upon registration, if im not mistaken the address is at oregon and can avoid tax..then once the iphone reach hopshopgo, they will inform u and then ship to malaysia.

btw, do give a review once u tested the iphone 6s..im dying here trying to decide to get the 6s or note 5 

yes..u pointed out my main concern..the eventually lag with samsung phones which i experienced with all my samsung devices i used for the past 9 years..but most reviewers say note 5 seems promising..

guess now is still too early to judge, and by end of oct/nov when 6s come out and the reviews are out, i think can make better decision on which to choose (6s+ probably )

I tested note 5 demo unit on day 1 and its smooth like butter. But after 2 weeks as a demo set, i did noticed slight lag. But on normal usage, you probably wont realised it yet. I purposely test on it, therefore the feeling is there. I think based on a normal day to day use, it probably last for 1.5 to 2 years before the lag become unbearable. It's a good improvement for android or samsung in particular. But my main phone will still be iPhone.. its more simple to use as a daily driver

only 2 weeks  guess android memory dump problem is still there
im looking for a phone that can last 3 years lol..guess 6s+ then it is now i just need to wait for it to come to malaysia officially

Same here, bro. Despite its shortcomings, iOS 8 continuity and handoff features were game changers for me. While I don't see myself as a die-hard iFag or whatever you may call it, it's hard to imagine myself using an Android phone as a main device.

Sigh, the real pain now is the hole that will burn in my wallet everytime an upgrade comes along.... Arrrghhh...
