Longkang guppies are the ones where you can find in longkangs and streams or ponds. They have very faint colours (yellow, orange, small blue dots) and the male is smaller compared to the 'nice' guppies.

according to people, they say guppies have a short life
how long do they live, i can't really answer that

to breed, you need males & females, of course
live plants will be needed too so that they can hide and lay their eggs
the more the merrier, that's what i heard from people

the amount they give birth is nothing compared to how long they live....i once "save" a few longkang guppies and put it into the pond...then the next thing i knew it multiplied X500.and it was fun catching it.because of the amount they have grown into; we have no choice but to burry them under ground wherelse my sis chicken had a great time catching em by herself from the pond to eat!!:0 i love guppies..very peaceful fish.i wonder where to find very good quality ones?

Heheh... I can second that. Guppies are live bearers! No eggs to hide. smile.gif I started with 2 male and 4 female guppies. In a short period, boom! plenty of 'kids' swimming around!! tongue.gif

Leafy live plants or rocks cover are still needed for the babies to hide. The adults do eat their little ones.
