logitech finally has something to compete with that corsair led mkb

hmm.gif

if your budget minded, you can just get a simple mkb with a rm 4xx-5xx budget. but if you want to treat yourself to a nice looking mkb for long term investment (as in your not going to need a new mkb for the next decade) then this seems like a good mkb.

i paid slightly more for mine, but i use double shots and dye sub keycaps which added to the cost. not to mention ordered overseas the mkb since at the time the model i wanted wasn't available locally. things changed a lot these days smile.gif

i don't see a problem with that. though i recommend you make a dedicated thread in the sellers forum area for it. you can then mention here for people to check it out. smile.gif

And by changing keycaps

We can continue to make our mkb feel brand new

hi all.. i got myself a good one for 2016 CNY..
Last night, I spilled a whole cup of MILO on my CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-i.. doh.gif
it's a new one.. only used for 2 months+

Did unplug keyboard immediately, put it on towel upside down... shake out all the milo and pulled out all the key cap.. tried my best to clean all the surface where i can.. and left it upside down on towel overnight..

since it's completely dried.. Just now i tried to plug it in.. good news! it is still working! no random typing.. all LED still working.. tried to type and all key still able to register correctly..
But now, many keys are sticky, some hard to push, a few wont bounce back after clicked..
and dunno how long it may last and whether the part inside will rust or not..

The shop i bought this keyboard is closed for CNY until 12Feb.. PM-ed but still waiting for reply..

So..
- is the warranty already voided? anyone know how much it will cost me if send for warranty?
- should i disassemble it and try to clean it?! by following this guide >> http://imgur.com/a/9sHx7

damn i hate myself already..
this is my first and only mkb and i'm not expert.. icon_question.gif

Try to read this.

It seems like a hassle to clean it all. But then you'd have to wait a week to send it to a shop laugh.gif

Pretty sure it's your fault that you drop your milo on your keyboard.. If I can get warranty whenever I drop my drink, I'd do it all the time. And milo is sticky, if it was normal water it'd have been easy fix. Probably don't touch it anymore, and take out all the key caps and start cleaning 1 by 1 of the switch with a wet cotton bud properly, since it already has a plate on top you won't risk making the pcb wet with your cotton bud. Once you're done cleaning it, probably put them in rice or something to take out all the moisture. That's the best advise I can give you.

Black looks luxury, the keycaps are in dark gray whereas, the font in black.
White Beige looks cleaner, keycaps in white beige color, font in black.
White better contrast.

If you are a typist, I recommend you get a blank keycaps 1.

If you're only using it for Dota, then you don't need RM300-400. Check out @KuzumiTaiga signature, he's selling one that's cheap but pretty good. That could be good enough for you.

Hi thanks for the reply.. But where is the kazumitaiga signature? Can't find it using the search topic thread here.. But based on the thread here for gamers they don't usually use ducky or filco or storm mechanical keyboard?

They do. First thing about gamer is bling2.
If you like Ducky/Filco/Cooler Master(Not CM Storm anymore), then I will recommend you.
Get a Cooler Master QFR-i. It's still within your budget.

Hi there thanks for reply. May I know what do you meant by bling 2? Means pretty shiny with backlit? I am just finding one mechanical keyboard which can last long, sounds good (click sound) when playing or typing
