Checking in. I am using a Aorus Thunder K7 keyboard. Was given by one of the Gigabyte fellas here in Australia. Been using since last year December, never had a problem with it. thumbup.gif

Hi all!

Looking for a TKL mech KB with cheery MX Blue switches. Currently have my eyes on Filco Majetouch 2 TKL and Ducky Zero TKL with blue LEDs. Is the typing experience on the 2 KB similar? Also, any issue regarding the LEDs on ducky?

Thank you!

ducky uses cherry stabs, and filco uses their costar stabs. the ducky one should be a budget keyboard from ducky, compared to filco which has higher quality build. cherry stabs tend to be a little more mushier, but costar has a pinging sound problem. really depends on what you want, if you have money, go for filco, but otherwise if you dont have as much to splurge on higher quality bling bling board, i think the ducky will do just fine. both uses the same switch from cherry, not much problem in that sense.

i think ducky would be the best choice you would have, especially given it's standard layout you'd be able to switch out the keycaps if they get worn out, stock keycaps has abs coating, and those gets shiny when you use them very often. with that said.. it's still a gamble. i'm currently using a gigabyte aorus keyboard, with blue backlits, however they only come in red mx. i dont see much shiny except a little bit on the spacebar and ive been using it for the past 10 months with gaming on dota 2, and csgo.

the one that you choose should be fine, it's a budget keyboard, there shouldnt be any problem with it, in case if anything is broken after a few months of usage, you could still ask somebody here to fix it. thumbup.gif

got my K70 RGB, CM quickfire XT, Corsair M65, Gigabyte GTX 960, 2x4GB kingston hyperx ram, i5 4690, mobo, ssd all from Lazada over the last 2 months smile.gif
but you must becareful in choosing the seller. I usually will check if the seller selling a lots of stuff there, or just buy from those I dealt before (maybe something minor in the past). There are seller rating so that can at least give you a rough idea of how reliable of them.

beside all those you contacted and lazada, have you try Gadget Zone at Digital Mall? There are tonnes of different keyboard on sale there. I got my K70 (red led) there and the staff are all very friendly. And damn that Tesoro demo unit keyboard is sexy as fxxk

How much did you get the K70 for?

K70RBG bought from Lazada with voucher, end up paying RM678 (listed RM775)
K70Red LED Rm569+GST, close to RM600. Should have buy from Lazada, but that time I went with friend to buy his STRAFE, and feel the itch so also buy it straight without thinking much. XD

yea.. my bad self-control

some of the keys on my K70 (mx blue) not so clicky, and only have minimal tactile feel, so RMA it, they already told me they are going to give me a new one, just a matter of when. but they did mentioned will be within a month, but hopefully asap.

my k70 rgb (mx brown) totally awesome. been using mx blue over the last 6 years, i thought i am a blue guy. until i lay hand on my colleague's mx brown, i realize i am a brown guy biggrin.gif. totally love the k70 rgb.

hi all.. i got myself a good one for 2016 CNY..
Last night, I spilled a whole cup of MILO on my CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-i..  doh.gif
it's a new one.. only used for 2 months+

Did unplug keyboard immediately, put it on towel upside down... shake out all the milo and pulled out all the key cap.. tried my best to clean all the surface where i can.. and left it upside down on towel overnight..

since it's completely dried.. Just now i tried to plug it in.. good news! it is still working! no random typing.. all LED still working.. tried to type and all key still able to register correctly..
But now, many keys are sticky, some hard to push, a few wont bounce back after clicked..
and dunno how long it may last and whether the part inside will rust or not..

The shop i bought this keyboard is closed for CNY until 12Feb.. PM-ed but still waiting for reply..

So..
- is the warranty already voided? anyone know how much it will cost me if send for warranty?
- should i disassemble it and try to clean it?! by following this guide >> http://imgur.com/a/9sHx7

damn i hate myself already..
this is my first and only mkb and i'm not expert..  icon_question.gif

Pretty sure it's your fault that you drop your milo on your keyboard.. If I can get warranty whenever I drop my drink, I'd do it all the time. And milo is sticky, if it was normal water it'd have been easy fix. Probably don't touch it anymore, and take out all the key caps and start cleaning 1 by 1 of the switch with a wet cotton bud properly, since it already has a plate on top you won't risk making the pcb wet with your cotton bud. Once you're done cleaning it, probably put them in rice or something to take out all the moisture. That's the best advise I can give you.
