QUOTE(rurushu @ Dec 16 2015, 09:56 AM) been using blues ever since tried it the first time... tried browns before, but it just felt.... "something-is-amiss" or "unfulfilling" I think the nicest to type on would be either red/blue. Browns give a too weird membrane-ish feel to it. Slightly more not-so mechanical feel than reds. For me, reds & blues are the best feeling switches. |

I think our preferences are similar, I also think reds are nice to type also, blacks are too heavy, green i tried yesterday, it was very tactile and clicky, but also heavier than blues, not quite suitable for long typing session use, but i think will be good for gaming browns to me felt like... "scratchy", i know it is supposed to be "tactile" but to me it just felt like that... hahah |

QUOTE(rurushu @ Dec 16 2015, 10:26 AM) +1 Yeah. Reds are nice, but I've always preferred the clicky sounds. I tried a few keyboards out, but I got the Razer Blackwidow with the green clicky switches. Honestly, I feel like they're a great feel for typing & gaming. They give you the satisfying clicky noise that blue switches does and it gives you responsive clicks like reds do.I think our preferences are similar, I also think reds are nice to type also, blacks are too heavy, green i tried yesterday, it was very tactile and clicky, but also heavier than blues, not quite suitable for long typing session use, but i think will be good for gaming browns to me felt like... Same I prefer red's and blues. But I feel that blue is still a bit heavy, hopefully the gateron blues im getting are as smooth as people say. Just got a KBT oni TKL as a temp board while im slowly building my custom board, thinking of using parts from this keyboard to put into the DIY one, maybe can reuse stabs. |

Don't get confused with the actual Cherry MX Green switch, as they are in no way fun for gaming and is probably the heaviest switch out there. But it like them the most, and I use it for both gaming and typing. The Green on the Blackwidow is a variant of the Cherry MX Blue, they should feel almost the same. Agreed. Actua MX Green is definitely heavier than blues and i have to say it is not quite suitable for long term typing, but for gaming, i think it is kind of good as when you game, you use only a few particular keys (think WASD, QWER, or numpad) and since it is heavier, it would be less likely for misclicking. Prevents misclicking, but you're not gonna like if you play FPS games heavily, which you may prefer Reds over anything else. Besides, I think the Black is the better alternative to Greens for gaming, if you like the Greens but want to game heavily.Agreed. the legends on my kbt oni's pbt keycaps are yellowing, wondering if there's a way to restore the colour or just remove them entirely without using a sanding method.

I'm interested in trying out a 60%, thinking of buying a POK3R. Do they really cost RM600+? If anybody can point in the direction of a better deal, I'd appreciate it.

If anybody can point in the direction of a better deal, I'd appreciate it. Someone is selling his Poker II in the Facebook group. Not sure if he still wants to sell it or if it's already sold. POK3R is more expensive, and if you don't care about its aluminum case, then Poker II should suffice. However, if you really want POK3R, then Ultimate.Zone is selling them for almost RM600, not over. |
