Hi all sifu here, I got 2 mech keyboard both using mx cherry blue. 1 is Corsair K70, another is Filco Majestouch 2.
The keys on the Filco is, very crisp, clear and loud. However, the keys on my K70 is somehow feel a bit damped. They are still clicky, just quieter.
Is it normal for the K70?

Another issue is, I have 2-3 keys on my Filco, and 2 keys on my K70 feeling lack of the click, is there any service to change the switch out there?

Thanks smile.gif

Different design on casing, plate, key caps will affect typing experience, so it is normal that these 2 keyboards give you different feels.

I see. Thanks for the reassurance. I do like my K70, but the typing experience on Filco is unbeatable.

Btw, any service to replace the switches?

I love floating keycaps, but it seems like my options are limited to corsair which i already own. Or is there any other reliable brand that i am unaware of?

Maybe it's time for custom keyboard. A B.87 from winkeyless korea will set you for about 320USD if it's assembled by them. (Prepare you own keycaps)
Probably you can get it a bit cheaper (close to 100USD cheaper) if you use gateron switches and assembled by local enthusiast.

this one from taobao RMB209.00, but only limit to 1 unit per customer
then add the delivery charges, end up around RM185

not a bad deal at all smile.gif

the garish gold & huge-ass branding kills it for me. but to each his own I guess

especially if you got it for <300 all-in

tbh, i prefer silver color brushed aluminium.
anyway, this keyboard grabs a lot of attention from my colleagues today so it is totally worth it laugh.gif
guy colleagues mostly: "diam lah pandan"
those auntie colleagues:"wow, the lighting is pretty" etc

Already ask. I actually already called Heavy Arm, Tech Armory, Dotatech, Ultimate Zone and Czone.
All of them doesn't have stock for Shine 4. I heard the supplies is already stop due to Shine 5 availability in next few weeks.
But the price point for Shine 5 is way too high  rclxub.gif  I do think they should keep selling Shine 4 to cover the price gap.
Saw the keyboard that i want from Lazada (Shine 4 MX Brown) but not sure if i should put my bet on them. Never deal with Lazada before and not sure how warranty claim work with them as i dont think the seller have any physical shop.

got my K70 RGB, CM quickfire XT, Corsair M65, Gigabyte GTX 960, 2x4GB kingston hyperx ram, i5 4690, mobo, ssd all from Lazada over the last 2 months smile.gif
but you must becareful in choosing the seller. I usually will check if the seller selling a lots of stuff there, or just buy from those I dealt before (maybe something minor in the past). There are seller rating so that can at least give you a rough idea of how reliable of them.

beside all those you contacted and lazada, have you try Gadget Zone at Digital Mall? There are tonnes of different keyboard on sale there. I got my K70 (red led) there and the staff are all very friendly. And damn that Tesoro demo unit keyboard is sexy as fxxk

How much did you get the K70 for?
*
K70RBG bought from Lazada with voucher, end up paying RM678 (listed RM775)
K70Red LED Rm569+GST, close to RM600. Should have buy from Lazada, but that time I went with friend to buy his STRAFE, and feel the itch so also buy it straight without thinking much. XD

hahahaha impulse buy huh? but how is the board treating you?

yea.. my bad self-control

some of the keys on my K70 (mx blue) not so clicky, and only have minimal tactile feel, so RMA it, they already told me they are going to give me a new one, just a matter of when. but they did mentioned will be within a month, but hopefully asap.

my k70 rgb (mx brown) totally awesome. been using mx blue over the last 6 years, i thought i am a blue guy. until i lay hand on my colleague's mx brown, i realize i am a brown guy biggrin.gif. totally love the k70 rgb.

hey guys, is there any reliable cheap TKL keyboard that will last at least 2 years without any problems to be purchase on any site? silent switch preferred, price range RM200-RM250. Or should i just buy locally eg quickfire tkl?
*
why not check in our garage sale for a used 1? mechanical keyboard rarely has problem (for non-led one. cant really speak for LED backlit ones), so when cod that time test all the keys kaw kaw then you should be fine.

Does anyone knows which store in KL or Kuantan sells Ducky Shine 4? It seems to be out-of-stock in many places.

Also, what are some keyboards that are similar to DS 4? Backlit, good build quality.

Tesoro Excalibur Spectrum, I think it is the cheapest RGB keyboard around @ RM399.00.
It uses Kailh switch instead of Mx Cherry but that shouldnt be a problem tho.
