Haha. Are you referring to the LE version?
Not in production anymore right?
*
Yeah, the door trim and center console is leather also. Not in production anymore, but can actually order the part from Proton if not mistaken, but at an exorbitant price.

Thanks sifu, I have get my preve change the brake switch at service centre but problem still occur and they say could be selenoid problem. Beside this I feel Proton QC quite bad as now my < 3 month old preve now auto wiper not working, car seat got annoying 'ngek ngek' sound, one of the wiper blade not install properly where it fly out recently during raining. I go back to service centre but they say better go COSE. I have booked an appointment with COSE to solve above issue.
*
I don't know what problems do they have now. As far as I know, my batch of Preve around late 2013, has no issues at all.

Not sure if I get the lemon unit but today seem i have new problem with my car as I unable to start my car as engine start stop light won't turn green after I press 2 times I repeat few times also not working but later I just wait for 5 min then retry again and this time working. I am not sure if ignition switch start to fail.
*
Brake switch can be a factor. Or the start stop button module itself going wonky.

I haven't had the problem either. You should get SC to resolve it before it cause inconvenience.

This thread has been lacking the discussion of power optimization via supporting parts or modifications. Anyone want to share?

I have been on Racechip for several months. Now looking into adjustable cam pulley to reduce cam overlap to promote quicker boost, sacrificing some top speed that I don't need. Anyone can share how is the experience of advancing exhaust cam to reduce the overlap?

Preve ecu locked right? I don't think there is 3rd party ecu mapping for preve right now.
I'm driving preve manual, so basically racechip is useless for me right now as the racechip was tuned for CFE model only.

Racechip only for CFE. blush.gif

Just claim a new set engine mounting, vibration almost gone.feel good.
Anyone do underbody coating to prevent rust? My exhaust is rusted and crack a little, just replace the particular part. Would like to do something to prevent it happen again.
*
I did undercarriage coating. Exhaust cannot be coated using the same coating, but ceramic coating (which is costly). If exhaust cracked, just weld it back or simply replace the section.

First time I heard about this discount vouchers... What is this magical item about?
*
Some batches of Proton cars come with an offer of free maintenance. So the vouchers would pay for Mach 5 oil and labour, and this makes it cheaper to maintain the car even with fully synthetic by topping up the difference.

Not everyone has the vouchers. I don't too.

i don't like Champiro BAX 2 at all. it's definitely not grippy as u said. push a bit into corners and it will scream and lose traction. very scary. plus two times i got bulging issue with this tyre. now changed to Bridgestone RE003 and I am a super happy driver thumbup.gif

greater grip on par with PS3, and it won't scream no matter how hard u pushed it. u feel very well planted no matter the speed. and it is more comfortable to ride than Champiro BAX 2, like rolling on a sponge! rclxm9.gif
*
RE003 and PS3 is too high level to be compared to Champiro BAX 2. Lol.

My stock tyre is Achilles 2233, and I am more worried about the common blow outs than lack of grip. Lol.

hi everyone, i want to ask if the ECS LED lights on out of sudden. It means what? Everytime i drive now, the LED will light on. I press the button OFF also can't turn it off.

On top of what has been suggested, steering angle calibration may be needed if your alignment was correctly recently, or gone case recently.

If the wooing sound is from the tyre, it should be proportional to the speed of the vehicle.  For my case, it gets softer at 120km/h than at 110km/h.

From my experience, it seems that the CVT gearbox is not totally disengaged when set to Neutral.  I did try it whilst cruising down a slope at about 20-30km/h and I still see the engine rpm increasing proportionally with the speed of the vehicle, despite being in Neutral gear.
*
The primary pulley is always connected. Hence coasting with N and on-wheel balancing, can be hazardous for your gearbox. Poor lubrication but yet the internals are still moving fast.

The invoice states CVT3+. I thought all gearboxes are the same?

Part number is PW812428, Assy, CVT3 Transmission.
*
No, there are VT3 and VT3+. The difference is the noise and whine characteristics.

Thanks for the information. IF you happen to have sat in both cars which come in VT3 and VT3+, is the difference in noise and whine characteristics appreciable or tangible, or it is subtle ie. negligible?
Thanks for the information.
*
The whine is almost non existent unless at 5000 rpm or downshifting.

My LE comes with VT3+.

Hi all.
New guy here.

Will hopefully be getting my Preve Auto Exec next week since my loan has been approved.

Am thinking of keeping my 17" rims from my old car and transferring it straight to my new Preve upon delivery.

My questions:
Good idea yes or no?

Will it affect the warranty?

Will my 17" with 225/50/17 tyres fit the Preve?

Thanks guys.
*
You might want to keep stock rims for warranty.

17" tyres that fit with stock suspension is:
215/45/17
225/45/17
205/50/17

Saw new engine oil sell at Tesco on promotion's price.

[attachmentid=5185251]

[attachmentid=5185257]

Also saw osram's bulb on clearance's price. Before rm42. Now rm21.

If the bulb is worth the price, I'm gonna buy a pair for me to keep as spare part.

Any comment on the bulb?

The bulb might be the same as those sold at Proton SC for RM24.

I just bought two on the weekend as one burnt. Another for standby.

Last year it was only RM18.

Anyone got scratching sounds from the brakes? Can feel it from the brake pedals also when braking.
Maybe sand went into the brakes... But the discolour on the brakes quite uneven...
*
You can remove the wheels and open the callipers. Or get someone to do it for you.

Likely that the rotor has been scratched. Whether to skim, would depends on your preference. If you believe it is a defect, claim warranty.

if  i change the camber screw.... as suggested by the tyre shop mechanic...they say that it need to be change to adjust the camber...
does changing the camber screw effect the warranty....
*
I didn't need to change camber screw after 23 months of driving. Yes it might affect warranty if it is suspension related.

Wire harness change is non headlamp related.

Mine blows at a rate about 1 year. So every 1 year, I have to change 2 bulb, left and right. Luckily Proton sells cheap H7 so it doesn't matter to me. I drive with lights on any hazy or dim condition for safety, which means I put a lot of hours of use on them.
