Seriously when the first time I walked in I thought they start operate before completion. But later they said this is the "Eko" theme LOL  doh.gif

Yeah, same here. But from the recent interviews with Ekovest's boss boasting about the 'cost-savings' achieved with this project, it seems like the 'raw' style is here to stay, like it or not.

The main issue I have with this 'raw' concept is the dust that will come out of the pores of the pillars, walls and ceiling and settle on the floor or any nearby surfaces. Will require cleaning on a frequent basis.

It's ok to have a "raw" concept but I dunno, the finishing looks bad to me. Not my cup of tea but I guess (some) purchasers don't mind. I remembered I went in Breezeway condo in DPC, somewhat raw concept as well for their lobby but the finishing is more acceptable to me.

its called industrial minimalism.....

if raw, it will only have polished cement concrete, which by the way, cost a lot more than china imported tiles.

I would accept if it’s some kind of theme cafe but not used for a big mall or residential. It really doesn’t looks appealing

i think everyone can feel it whether is a cut cost thing or a purposely designed raw concept which you wont smell or feel the dust from concrete

Minimalist concept is idea for factory outlets store, warehouse sale like makro. As for residence, minimalist is usually by circumstances rather than choice e.g council flat.

dunno abt you..

I see it as

out of the box
refreshing
modern and most parts, tastefully done (there is no perfection in this world, not even Tropicana W).
dare to be different
challenge your conventional view of how you live

Refreshing yes but how long will the 'refreshing' feeling wear off?

Lol... Really not many people can accept this new trend of design. Especially for the value of money you have spent for

Doesn't matter if people can accept or not....

what matter is can this apartments appreciate in value...…

if it can, then doesn't matter what concept this eko cheras is...…

if it cant, then blame it on design concept.

lets just say, if you compared E9, You3, parkland, Netizen and Aster now, can you see any significant different in their design language???? all same same boring boring kan????

Only classic won't be out of fashion e.g dark lounge suit and tuxedo may be as boring as ever but is never out of fashion.

Yes agree. Classic always acceptable by majority & majority hardly to accept new changes... Especially talking about design, it's very personal taste...

why need to target 'majority'?

this ekc only abt 1500 units rite? and mostly studio....

if you want bland and predictable design language, there are plenty others to choose from.
