HSBC Reward card good? yesterday at pyramid they approached me i hear they explain like very good ony... can't apply for the cash back card as my spending usually less than 2.5k a mth for a card.

so decided to apply for the reward card.. 8X points at mid valley megamall (Any outlets), 5X points at any mall. No annual fee free for life. And it's Visa easily accepted.

15k points can change 1 RM50 Aeon voucher or some other voucher d.. sounds better than Maybank card 40k points for RM50.

40k points can change to MYR 100, not RM 50.

As for reward cards, I usually find them a little misleading. Unless you are a uber high spender ( but there are definitely other cards which are better in terms of accruing points for rewards )

Always believe that cashback is better over reward points but if you feel that you can maximize the HSBC card, go ahead.

Maybank 2 Premier Card ( In terms of exchange rates and spending to convert to enrich miles )

Other banks could be better thou. Just that I don't use their products.

Assuming cashback is for Grocery only, if you don't mind restricting your flexibility to just weekends, maybank Ikhwan Card is a choice for you since it's Free for Life.

If you are willing to race the game of RM50x10 per month, then HLB Wise card is better (subject to annual fee though)

Depending on your usage....

Best cards always will have terms and conditions, if you want to utilize it, you gotta be flexible a little tongue.gif

HLB Wise has the highest cash back - 10%. There is AF which cannot be waived and also you have to spend at least RM 50x10 to activate the cash back.
At first I thought it is not achievable for me but after using for 3 months, it is so simple and been maximizing every month. biggrin.gif

If you have 30k per annum, then apply for Maybank Ikhwan which gives 5% cash rebate on petrol and groceries on Fridays and Saturdays.
Else, if 24k you can apply UOB One Card but it has AF, some said easy to waive, some said no. Petrol on weekdays get 2% and weekends 5% capped at RM 300 per month.
If not, you still have Aeon Big Card. 5% Cash Rebate for Petrol on every Sunday (capped at RM25 capped at RM25 per month per credit card account). It has AF but can be waived with just 12 swipes in a year.
