1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must

3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate for Petrol, Online Transactions (Bills), Online Overseas Transactions (Online via Steam / etc.), Sometimes Physical Overseas Transaction (trips)

4. Existing credit cards if any: MBB2Card, Citi Clear Card.

5. Looking at CC from: No Idea sad.gif

6. Others: I want to maximize the potential cash back per month. Previously I am able to achieve all of the above cash back categories with only MBB2Card but with the recent 1 Aug implementation (removal of 5% CB), guess I gotta need multiple cards to do the above. Monthly spending for above is usually within 800 ~ 1200 only. Some months the spending (Overseas) will exceed 5k, only for business trips. Breakdown of common expenses monthly:
- Bill ~250
- Petrol ~250~350
- other spendings are as-and-when (i.e. swipe on behalf) to achieve 1k cashback cap / business trip spendings.

get at least 2 cards to cover the bulk of your spending: mobile, petrol, and online purchases.

1) HLB Wise @ 10% for your mobile & petrol.
2) CIMB Cash Rebate @ 5% for your online purchases.

readup the t&cs for each card  thumbup.gif

hlb not in my list since 50/transaction, for 10 transaction monthly.not under my spending yet

Based on your spending, you're potentially save 10% by using HLB Wise. Just make sure that each transaction is RM50 and 10 times

Hmm, the 10 x RM50 is the tricky part because certain months, the transaction qty is way below that number of usage/swipe

can breakdown ur bills?

u gotta sacrifice something to gain something lo.

e.g. petrol, pump rm50 each time. yes, it's tedious if u got big car smile.gif u already hit 5-7 times of rm50 transactions dy.

bills, sure got mobile right? split it to multiple of rm50 payments (example: rm50+rm50+rm20 = rm120 mobile bill) or do a bit of overpayment (rm50+rm50+rm50 even if ur bill just rm120)

for 3rd category choose whichever suits ur need. some choose Grocery for its flexibility (e.g. reload ur TNG at mydin/jaya grocer), Utilities if u got huge tnb bills, or even F&B smile.gif

1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must - Ok to have waiver with conditions.

3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate for petrol, online transaction (bills), and retail shopping. Good reward point is acceptable, and free lounge access (seems impossible for my income?)

4. Existing credit cards if any: M2Card Gold & UOB One Classic

5. Looking at CC from: Any

6. Others: I want to cancel off my M2Card because Amex is not widely accepted in Kuching. It will be good if using Visa/Master. My expenses usually as the following below:
- Petrol RM200 - RM260
- StreamyX RM100
- Mobile Celcom RM45
- Groceries RM100
- Other retail purchases - Not fixed, can be more or less

1. Annual Income: RM30K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Easy to waive

3. Card required for: Maximum Cash Back/Rebate

4. Existing credit cards if any: None

5. Looking at CC :

- Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan
- CIMB Cash Rebate MasterCard
- UOB One Card (easy to waive annual fee??)

6. Others:

I was planning to register 2 card CIMB for online transaction and either UOB or Maybank for petrol.

- UniFi > 400
- Petrol > 200
- Online Purchase < 100
- Shopping (grocery& fashion) /Cinema < 100

Does billing online consider online transaction for CIMB CC ?

You made a good choice to go for CIMB Cash Rebate because it has 5% cash back for Lazada and App Store, besides it does have promos for these merchants on top of the 5%. So, please check out the website.

For movies, if you go to TGV, then can stick to your MBB cards.

Petrol, groceries, can try MBB Ikhwan and UOB One.

if don't want to have too many cc, just maintain your mbb2cards and sign up for cimb cr as it also covers petrol and grocery with 2% cb.
