Go for Cashback which is way more valuable than reward points.
Current reward points value is approx. 20,000 point for RM50

Recommendation:
1. CIMB Cash Rebate (Free AF; 5% cash back on online purchase, capped at RM30 per month)
2. UOB VOX (Free monthly fee with 1 swipe; cashback eligible for online spend of min RM50)
3. AEON Watami (Free AF with 12 swipes; 3% cashback for anything you spend, provided you spend minimum RM3000 per quarter)
If you die die must want points:
1. MBB Amex Card 2 (Free for life; 5x points for every RM1 every day (approx. 1.25% cashback); 5% cashback and 5x points for Dining on weekends)
*
Hi Thanks for the recommendation, but currently I got the AMEX, but some of the online shopping side do not accept AMEX, that why I am thinking to apply another one, the reason I want for reward is unlimited gain, for cash rebate it had the capped rebate (FYI, 1 and 3 I got already), Any other cc with more reward point and able redem with low reward point?

You've pretty much own the best cc already. biggrin.gif

Would have been nice if you followed the stipulated format, then I didn't have to recommend something that you have already owned.

1. Annual Income: 36 to 40K+

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must

3. Card required for: Oversea Spending/Flight Ticket

4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybankard 2 Cards, UOB One Classic

5. Looking at CC from: Citibank - HLB Essential VISA, MAYBANK 2 CARDS PREMIER

6. Others: I will be deployed to Scotland for a business trip for half a year and would probably be swiping for all kind of expenses over there (rental/hotel, petrol, care hire etc), so I'm currently looking for a card that will give me the most benefits as the expenses would be in big amount after conversion to pound sterling.

I know that the MBB 2 Cards Premier is the probably the best for this purpose upon some research but I obviously don't have the income required for it and would need to pledge FD, I'm just wondering would it be worth it to pledge FD for the normal rate and lose the difference in $ I get if I would have gone for promotion rate and get these cards, or just settle for a card that provides unlimited cashback like the HLB Essential VISA?

hlb essential is now 0.6% only...

get aeon watami for 3% per quarter with min spend of rm3k per quarter up to rm5k. you may also use your mbb2amex whenever it's accepted or when your watami card has been maxed.

The cap of Watami is only RM150 per quarter right? I would have maxed that in the first month I am there by expense estimation...

1. Annual Income: RM40K + (From april onwards)

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must, else if below can meet my requirement then AF have also nvm

3. Card required for: (spending as below)
Petrol - RM300 monthly
Dining - RM300 - 500 monthly
TnG - RM50 per month
Phone bill - First 38 + GST = RM40.28 at least, sometimes will pay RM50 one shot.
Shopping - RM100-RM200 monthly

4. Existing credit cards if any: Citibank clear + shell

5. Looking at CC from: Need recommendation. Currently looking at HLB Wise. But wanna see if there's any better.

6. Others:
Most transaction made during weekends (dining), no set period for petrol.
Looking for high cashback. Highest I heard was HLB Wise, but have news that they are revising soon.
Have plans on buying stuff with installment. Preferably 0% with 24 months, ideal would be 36 month. tongue.gif

1. Annual Income: RM60K to RM80K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must or if the bank allow to waive yearly after reviewing (if it's really that good CC)

3. Card required for: List all your needs (spending as below)
Petrol - 220 monthly - Shell
Insurance - 1500 yearly
Car Maintenance - 1500 yearly
Dining - 300 a month
Pet food - 300 a month

Required : Looking mainly for Cash Back/Rebate Card

4. Existing credit cards if any: Citibank normal card (supplementary for the last 11 years) with reward points, cancelled HLB Wise because i can't meet 10 swipes a month and cancelled Standard Chartered World Miles.

5. Looking at CC from: Maybank /CIMB/ Citibank and open to others

Seems like a good card:
1) MBB 2 cards
2) CIMB platinum
3) Citibank platinum cash back

The plan:
1) Cancel the main and supplementary card for Citibank in the next few months since we don't really want rewards. Cash back is better
2) Switch current card to Citibank platinum cash back but it is subject to if the bank can do yearly waiver for all the cards like the current card
3) Get a spare CC that is free for life in case of an emergency - CIMB platinum has better cashback than MBB i think.
4) I might need one card that is good for my overseas travel this year
5) Any reviews about applying from ringgitplus? Seems like they have free gifts/voucher to be given

1. MBB Ikhwan - Only on petrol & groceries. I don't use the card on groceries much. Mostly spending on dining. And need to wait until weekend to pump petrol. Abit restrict to me cause I travel alot. sad.gif
2. HLB Mach - Only down side of this card is that they do not have petrol category. sweat.gif
3. HLB WISE - The only card that fits into my category.
4. AEON Watami - Only have rebates of max RM50 in Watami restaurant. Other retail outlets do not have benefits. And 18 months EPP. sad.gif

Is HLB WISE able to waive the AF as long as I swipe more than 12 every year? Or that only applicable on the first year?

Thanks. icon_rolleyes.gif

yeah, basically you get x8 if you use it to pay any items at petronas on weekends. they won't check what item you swiped but in order not to trigger them, don't use it for too big amount that logically no car would have pump that much of petrol.
