Should hv detour into sungkai toll and use the upgraded dual carriage way trunk road till tapah and thereafter tapah to ch. u are wasting your time & Toll using SPF pulai. For frequent ch travelers, going via spg pulai is a total waste of toll and time biggrin.gif unless u r coming from north

Just came back from Cameron, Hiked Gunung Irau. it's a beautiful mountain. Worth revisiting. The trails are muddy but not very tough. Hiking up took us 4:30 while coming down only 1:50. Too many cam whoring action xD.

It's definitely a recommended place to hike if you are into it, remember dont bring your expensive new shoe as it will get dirty nevertheless

From KL take the NS highway to Tapah and from there the normal road up to Cameron. Yes the road is a bit windy but that is the only one road from Tapah.

Otherwise, drive further up NSE and exit Simpang Pulai. Then follow the road sign towards Kg. Raja/Brinchang/Cameron. Slightly further, but at least not that bengkang-bengkok.

Only 1st timer and ppl willing to pay for toll & extra KM will wanted to go xtra miles to use the new spg pulai CH biggrin.gif ..Frequent & old timers to CH will not do this.. wasting toll and also the jams crossing thru few townships in Ch just to reach your hotel biggrin.gif

Subjective la bro, for those coming from south.

Some may want to detour Ipoh for breakfast

Some may want wider road

Some due to passengers cannot endure the corners if climb uphill at Tapah. I remember when I was small and riding bus uphill, every time sure got people vomit into plastic bag.
