PLUS exit at Tapah. After pay Tapah toll, you reach T-junction traffic lights. Turn left (follow signboard).
Then all the way up (follow signboard) for about 1 hour+

Altenative route is exit at Simpang Pulai. After toll, turn left also, follow signboard towards Kg. Raja. Need to turn right somewhere there, otherwise you'll go towards Gua Musang doh.gif

Hello there. My friends are driving from KL to Cameron Highlands and seriously need clear directions on how to go there. Please help. TQ.
*
Suggest you drive to Karak highway and exit at Bentong interchange, drive to Raub -> Cheroh -> Sungai Koyan.
At Sungai Koyan you will see a signboard showing way to Cameron Highland. That Road is awesome.

Highway exit Tapah toll

The road from Tapah to Cameron Highland is very narrow and 'bengkang-bengkok'. Many lory use that road and you will be following those slow driving lory almost impossible to overtake.
One more way is exit at Pulai interchange, there is a road from Pulai to Cameron Highland.

Went there during Chinese New Year.

Lucky i went at chor 8, no jam.

my friend went there on chor 4, depart from kl 8am, reach tanah rata 8pm.

jam like mofo biggrin.gif

i stayed at Casa De La Rosa Hotel.

a very sweet + romantic hotel to stay.

deluxe room golf view RM480 per nite, but low season manage to get 50% off which @ RM240 only.

Garden view ( back view ) is more cheaper, and room smaller.

i love my rooms which have the nice golf view ( cant see shit 1 actually ), i love the feel.

morning wake up, open up balcony door, make myself a hot cameron tea and enjoy the view.

so relaxing. rclxms.gif

worth staying if you were couple / dating.

otherwise budget hotel if were with friends. tongue.gif

below is the picture from internet.

actual feel is more gooding than picture. wink.gif

*i never advance booking the hotel, i just walk in and try luck.

for those who planned a honeymoon date, please book before arrival to avoid disappointment.

I suggest better not. There is one time (many years ago) we did that. Start searching from 4pm onwards. In the end, we sleep in a wooden hut (not even a chalet) at the top of the hill in the middle of tea farm somewhere near Brinchang (not sure is under Sg. Palas or not).
No heater, hence taking bath with cold water is thumbup.gif
No bed, only 3" mattress.
It's actually those hut for tea farmers to stay, but since no one stay, they rent it very cheap to us. tongue.gif

But in the morning, the view, air-freshness, no humans, no cars, etc. Only tea farm 360°, it was very nice.

When driving on the winding sections, keep your headlights on.
Reason being, some parts of the road is in deep shadows then bright sunlight then dark again.. Headlights helps others spot u..

There are two main roads leading to Cameron. The Tapah route will be narrower compared to the roads leading to Genting Highland.

I personally like to use Simpang Pulai route. But it really depends on where you are coming from. If you are going from south, Tapah route seems to be a better choice.

Yes. But if you are going to Ipoh for some food, then it's logical to use Simpang Pulai route.

In addition to Tapah and Simpang Pulai route,
there are two more routes
(1) Bentong to Raub to Sungai Koyan to Cameron Highland
(2) If you stay in Kuantan, Kuala Lipis, Terengganu, Kelantan than use Gua Musang route.
