Anybody stayed in Strawberry Park or Heritage Hotel lately? Wonder how is it like. Any comments?

To those who had stayed in Century Pines, is it worth paying extra for deluxe with garden? Or should I just go for deluxe room only?

Is it possible to view the sun rise without taking the local tours?

Yes, you can. thumbup.gif I think usually watching sunrise takes place on the peak of Gunung Brinchang. It is accessible by car but can you make it there on your own in the dark through windy and narrow roads? The local tours use Land Rovers which makes their trip easy peasy and they do it pratically every morning.  Well, you can scout and make yourself familiar with the route and then only you make the trip at 6am the next day. smile.gif

Thanks for the reply. Just came back from Cameron Highlands. A pretty relaxing trip although it was raining for most of the days especially during early morning and afternoon. Didn't manage to view the sun rise... because couldn't wake up that early laugh.gif

I would rather use Simpang Pulai way to go to Cameron Highlands... although it is further away to Tanah Rata. The old road is filled with uneven road and potholes.

It's true that Tanah Rata is more laidback compared to Brinchang. I felt that Brinchang is too crowd with narrow roads and lack of parking space.

So far, I've not experience any jam along Brinchang & Kea Farm. Maybe because I was there during non-peak weekends (school holidays and public holidays). The only jam I went through was going down from Sungai Palas Boh Tea Plantation as the road is really really narrow and big cars are too afraid to squeeze through. laugh.gif

How about century pines or casa de la rosa? Privacy andparking is a priority

Stayed in Century Pines a couple months back. It is situated in Tanah Rata and it's about 5 mins walk to the shops. In terms of privacy, it is pretty quiet and cosy but do book a room on the first floor so that you can open your glassdoors during the night while you're sleeping. There's ample of parking space but not I'm not sure during peak period (school holidays).

Been to Cameron Highlands last year for a 3D2N trip. It was quite relaxing, I must say.

Now I'm wondering if 2D1N is sufficient. Any opinions?

how many roads are there to cameron? how steep/narrow is it compared to genting?please advise

There are two main roads leading to Cameron. The Tapah route will be narrower compared to the roads leading to Genting Highland.

so which road is a better choice if use gps?

I personally like to use Simpang Pulai route. But it really depends on where you are coming from. If you are going from south, Tapah route seems to be a better choice.

i'm going from kl, which means i will use the tapah road?

Yes. But if you are going to Ipoh for some food, then it's logical to use Simpang Pulai route.

Normally, I would detour to Ipoh for breakfast before heading up to Cameron Highland. Hence, I'd use Simpang Pulai route.
