QUOTE(lude86 @ Mar 3 2016, 08:28 PM) Thats what I thought also. But the company tax agent (very reputed agent) keep saying I must file - even if only for those 4 days, because I joined in 2015. Giving me headache. Dunno what to file. No EA statement how to file? Somemore, your company has lumped your 4 days salary in January payslip and it somehow becomes part of the 2016 earning.

QUOTE(lude86 @ Mar 3 2016, 09:11 PM) Maybe company will give earning for those 4 days? I dont know. Employment income == your monthly drawing salary (fixed amount) + OT + fixed allowance (if any) Your company did pay you those 4 days but they have lumped in together in your January 2016 pay. As I said earlier, it has become part of your 2016 annual income instead of 2015. QUOTE(lude86 @ Mar 3 2016, 09:12 PM) No. That I already did in Jan. QUOTE(lude86 @ Mar 3 2016, 09:12 PM) No. That I already did in Jan. Now they are asking for 2015 earnings details for filing :-S If there is no EA form, how are u going to declare ur 2015 income. you need to have summary and details for the salary submission. For the 4 days salary that lump into 2016, u may put it as tunggakan gaji 2015 later when u file for 2016 tax. if you are worry for the confusion, LHDN normally opens counter to help people do E-filling, sometimes till night. You may check it out there.

Helo fellow Lyn..
This year, I have 2 ea forms.. Both ea are from Jan to dec. 15.. But only difrent is 1 from Jan to Aug salary. The other one is sept to Dec salary.
Anyone experienced this before? I just total everything up and treat it like normal e filing or I have to do any extra measure regarding this?

Combine the figures from both EA form. Remember to change the No Majikan to the most recent company (Sept to Dec).

QUOTE(lude86 @ Mar 3 2016, 05:25 PM) I have this issue now. I joined a company in Dec 2015 as my first official job. I opened my tax file in Jan 2016 and my first salary in Jan 2016. So, apparently I must file for 2015 by April. But I didn't really earn anything in 2015 (supported by parents/family, then did some work for some friends, they paid me some money but nothing official). Of course I have some money in bank from family, etc. What to declare for 2015 earnings? RM0? I'm scared LHDN will ask how I lived and have money in account. if your income is less than RM3k per month, no need to pay tax. You don't have to be scared. I start pay tax after 3-4 years working. Money you get from parent/family is not your income bro. It's donation. Donation no need to pay tax ma.

QUOTE(soultaker @ Mar 3 2016, 09:56 PM) Yes, good info. If you inherit money from your late parents/grandparents, that is subjected to inheritance tax which is out of scope from here. Doesn't consider as donation aka derma! This post has been edited by David83: Mar 3 2016, 09:58 PM
