LHDN gonna use "baucer bayaran" instead of Cheque for those didn't give bank account number for Tax Refund starting 1st April 2016. It's for individual taxpayer only.

u know the previous BR1M payment where u go bank to cash out the baucer. Same like that icon_rolleyes.gif

the person name printed on the baucer bayaran needed to be present & his/her mykad together presented to bank counter nod.gif

LHDN would post the baucer bayaran to your house address. No More cheque

Hi all, sorry just a fresh grad.

Few questions here:
1. https://ez.hasil.gov.my/CI/LoginKaliPertama.aspx <-- this page must go to LHDNM branch to grab the PIN although I register using eDaftar? (my eDaftar already done last year and have rujukan)
2. I heard colleague said only work 1 year baru just start to pay? Is it truth?
*
nope, you should have receive your first time log in password when u register or by email together with ur SG/OG number. cant really remember but i didnt go to their branch and im using e-filing all the while except for my dad who still prefer to use physical copy zzzz...

2. work 1 year? its base on calendar year, you start working on Dec'15 then you submit BE/B latest by Apr/June 2016. we call it YA 2015 = Jan'15 to Dec'15. YA 2016 = Jan'16 to Dec'16 which due in 2017.

My son is currently servicing his PTPTN study loan. Can this be considered as education fees?

An individual is entitled to claim a tax relief of up to a maximum of RM5,000 for fees expended by that individual on himself for:

(a) Any course of study up to tertiary level, other than a degree at Master’s or Doctorate level, undertaken for the purposes of acquiring law, accounting, Islamic financing, technical, vocational, industrial, scientific or technological skills or qualifications;

(b) any course of study for a degree at Master’s or Doctorate level undertaken for the purpose of acquiring any skill or qualification in any institution or professional body in Malaysia recognised by the Government or approved by the Minister, as the case may be.

Therefore, your son (and not you, as the father) will be entitled to claim the tax relief if the course he is undertaking satisfies the above criteria.

I just wanted to ask, how do I fill up the ptptn loan repayment part for tax deduction? or it is not tax exempted?

Your PTPTN loan repayment won't entitle to any tax relief.

Education fee relief for self improvement can be filed with the proof and support of the receipt from the educational institution and not PTPTN since PTPTN is just the sponsor; not the education service provider.

I have this issue now. I joined a company in Dec 2015 as my first official job. I opened my tax file in Jan 2016 and my first salary in Jan 2016. So, apparently I must file for 2015 by April. But I didn't really earn anything in 2015 (supported by parents/family, then did some work for some friends, they paid me some money but nothing official). Of course I have some money in bank from family, etc.
What to declare for 2015 earnings? RM0?
I'm scared LHDN will ask how I lived and have money in account. unsure.gif

Your salary at the company in December 2015. You got payslip right for that month? If the company is properly structured and systematic, you'll get EA form too even though you just worked for one month in 2015.

No. I started on 28th Dec. Salary payout was in end of Jan. Company said no EA form for me for 2015.

Thats what I thought also. But the company tax agent (very reputed agent) keep saying I must file - even if only for those 4 days, because I joined in 2015. Giving me headache. Dunno what to file.
