I just received a letter from LHDN today, saying my tax file number has been changed from SG xxxx to OG xxxx (numericals still the same).

I have a full time Manager job, but also have side business (sole proprietorship enterprise) registered with SSM.
I declared all my side income using Form B recently (wanna be a good citizen heh).

I can't inform the change in tax file number to my HR, coz obviously HR doesn't allow their staff do part time biz. mad.gif

So now, if i keep quiet & don't update my HR of this tax file number change, will my monthly salaried PCB deduction can still masuk the old SG tax file number ??? (again, number still the same, just SG --> OG)

I can't let my HR know I am doing side business...

Need some urgent help here , my income tax deduction is 3 times higher than the PCB chart as I got no side income at all.

At first I thought its just because I start working in different company so that is why deduct higher, but it is deducting the same amount every month (its already 5 months).

My pay is around 4000 after deduction of EPF, income tax , socso I have got only around 3100.

4000 x 89 % = 3,560 after epf. besides, most of the HR use pcb calculator instead of the schedule. try to look for ur hr and ask ? i think u fill in some wrong info to them when u join new company, i suspect only la.

Quick question guys.

I just opened a new company with ssm. Since I'm working overseas, it won't affect my personal income right I guess.

So, here's a quick question, let's say I have a new set of business coming in. It would be about RM30k. Getting all the stuff and things would be about RM20k, profit will be RM10k.
So do I file the income tax of the profit?

New and first time here. What if the item and things were already in my personal list before I start the business. So 30k into my account, and then I have proof of the items to be RM20k, but its not deducted from my account, thus it will still be 30k in the account untouched.

Any idea? Thanks guys!...

For those who receive "Pemberitahuan Penangguhan Bayaran Balik Cukai" letter:

Did anyone receive tax refund without further contact? How long was the wait before refund into account?

If no refund after 3 mths, what would sifu advices - to call Unit Audit Meja to check status or do nothing till next Tax submission cycle?

Hi Will, hmm, I was told to follow the "Panduan Bayaran" stated at the back of my BE form, they (LHDN) has instructed me to pay by using code "084 (Bayaran Ansuran Cukai - Individu)" with "No. Ansuran: 99"

I hope I did it correctly to settle the income tax. Anyone experience this before? icon_question.gif

I really don't want my money (meant to pay the tax) end up into someone's pocket biggrin.gif

I received a love letter from LHDN asking me to pay extra 1600 today. When I redo my calculations using my EA forms (from 2 companies since I jumped ship last year) in fact I over estimated my income by 9k. Is it possible to request to see how they calculated? Can't help but feel I am being cheated unless I see how they came to that figure. And I also don't want to give jibby more money to pay red shirts.
