Hi,

Would like to ask if anyone have the answer to this.
I have bought a property under Islamic loan.
Monthly it will write profit charged.

How do I count the interest if I have rented out the property?

Thanks.

Anyone please advise. Because last year they will issue letter to my company and ask them to deduct. but this year amount is higher. Last year only 600 something....

I just received my refund from LHDN and the amount is lower than the amount stated in my tax filing form.

Anyone have experience this before? What should I do next?
*
U need to call to LHDN to check.. sometime is either ur PCB amount not match with amount they received.

You can always discuss with the tax officer for installment plan.

Hi all sifus, wanted to ask yea,

1. I'm a property agent, there is a case which I have earned on 2015 year end but only get paid on February 2016. So the service is actually done on 2015 but only get paid on 2016, so do we follow accrual principle and need not lodge this case into 2016 income tax? (I didn't lodge that case in 2015 because that's the only case I did, I joined at very end of 2015, and the amount few thousands so I didn't lodge it as 2015 annual income.)

2. I have taken a course that would begins their classes on 2016, but I have prepaid the course fees on 2015 year end, but the fees I paid is for me to attending all the classes on 2016, so can this prepaid expenses be counted as tax relief under education for 2016 income tax?

Please help, thank you so much!

2) Only full fledged tertiary education course at approved/endorsed higher learning institutions is eligible for tax relief.
Not short or self-improvement course.
Please refer to LHDN website for more details.

Hello good morning, I understand that, but can prepaid expense on 2015 year end be tax relief for income tax 2016? Cause the prepaid fees are for the classes on semester 2016.

Thank youuu.

Your receipt sure got mentioned that the payment is meant for which year.
I believe that shouldn't be a big concern.
Otherwise, just contact LHDN office.

Not stated in the receipt, but I think the details in the receipt should be understandable that the class would be commenced on 2016.

Thank you for your time and advice. smile.gif

Hi Sifus. I have already made the payment of my tax balance using Maybank2U. However I am not sure if I am able to see the receipt or any sort of confirmation in LHDN's website. I've tried calling LHDN's hotline but to no avail. =/

Hi Sifu, got a few questions need clarify

1. The sum amount of my monthly deducted EPF are different from the one in my EA form, which one should I put in BE-form? AFAIK, the sum amount has to be tally with EA form..

2. My EA form didn't show my contribution of SOCSO, but I did have SOCSO deduction every month and it stated in my payslip, should I just sum it up myself and put it in BE-form?

3. My sister is working right now, but her income didn't exceed tax declaration required amount, and her company also didn't deduct PCB from her salary, so she didn't even do tax declaration. What I want to know is, there is a tax relief for having parent over 60 year old and did not make 24k income per annum, but this tax relief need to be divide among the number of child. Since my sister did not declare tax, can I just claim the relief solely? Or it has to be divide by number of child regardless of any circumstances? (Like low income, or still studying)

Thanks smile.gif

1. Need to follow EA form. Otherwise, you need to ask your HR to correct it.
2. Sum up using the payslips.
3. You can do so. You only need to divide it if your sibling(s) want to claim for the same relief as well.

Yes you can provided your investment linked insurance has a medical portion. For GE during tax period they will send us a letter detailing how much we can claim under life or medical for the particular tax year. You may want to check with your insurance agent
