Don't worry about it. I actually pro multi-gpu. Rather than buying fury, why don't you buy another 980 ti for SLI? What monitor you have right now?

Weird wide screen ultrasharp u2913wm . Really hype about that 4k gsync monitor but who would have known i got fark at the back . Never again im going to buy from that site

i'm AMD Hardcore Fan... hope AMD MY here that... so i can get my free game.. or free freesync lcd... no worried AMD Hardcore Fan do not go on personal Attack.. so all is good.. well i wish my RM2.8K gpu could beat gtx 980 ti/titan X but eh... wait better driver.. (soon)

970 SLI would be faster than any single card 980.

They mean 980TI, which performance should hover about the range of 970SLI.

If 980TI is lucky enough for a OC to 1.5k range, it can definitely gap in and win in the situation which require more than 3.5GB VRAM.

I'm referring to both the 980 and 980 Ti.

The 980 Ti has speed improvements but it's not suprising that it's behind 970 SLI.

The 970 SLI may lose out when games go beyond the 4GB RAM limitation.

I have the 980 and 980 Ti with me, the Ti does shine when game settings take up a lot of VRAM.

I believe you also need a highly optimized SLI profile for 970 SLI to shine (provided the VRAM hadn't hit the limitation).

The resolution a little off for the one of 980TI OC I posted above (1600p vs 1440p), so we use a roughly 10% conversion factor.

If in 1440p reso, it is expected to have 130+ FPS, which is not exactly better than 980TI, and the SLI profile is already among the best (performance scaling of 2 cards almost reaching 200%). For most other game, SLI rarely able to scale this high (it averaged at bout 160% performance to single card), 980TI OC definitely can be winner there.

But anyway it's like what others say, you can't be discussing one camp without discussing the other.

I think green camp also will be discussing red camp HBM and whatever else.

did you bench Fury X on 3Dmark Firestrike ? and i noticed Youtube HD video is more crisp.. this also applied to Game i test example GTA V and Witcher 3

Currently pairing my A10 7850K with GTX 750Ti, just to try out The Witcher 3. Very playable btw, albeit on 30 frame per second. The game even on Medium settings already looking decent. But now already feel bored with the game, thinking of reverting back to the iGPU. Great game but I have shorter attention span these days and gaming in general doesn't seems interesting to me anymore.

Maybe i'll better off skipping the entire Fiji and 300 series GPU, and just wait for AMD next APUs.

I'm in the same boat as you. Especially the bolded part. The problem is newer games are...boring. Apart from amazing graphics the gameplay/game mechanics/storyline are boring. My highly anticipated game this year is GTA V, because I'm enjoyed San Andreas very very much I never watch a single gameplay or anything related to it before it was released to PC. When it finally out, I find the game lackluster. Amazing graphics yes, but it lacks the fun San Andreas brings. Some mission is just a re-spin from it so there is nothing new regarding it. For the record I finished San Andreas six times, from start to finish, on GTA V I haven't finished the first one yet. The only amazing new games I find interesting these past few years is Metro series. I love the original 2033, the atmosphere, the story, the graphics, it's a rare mix of those three making the game amazing. Game mechanics are a bit wonky where stealth are literally broke in the game but they fixed it in new Redux. Looking ta E3 this year the upcoming games aren't that interesting. Doom 4 looks meh (I love Doom3 BTW despite a lot of hate), Fallout 4 looks exactly like older Fallout, might play this one.

I'm too waiting for next Zen APU to comes out. Hoping they will put the HBM on it. If they really do I can say goodbye to discrete graphics. Even with 500MHz 1024-bit bus first gen HBM netted 128GB/s, a massive improvement over 34GB/s bandwidth from dual channel 2133MHz DDR3 memory.

Apart from the graphic, I actually enjoy GTAV more than SA for better control and handling of characters and vehicles. Their attempt to go with 3 protagonists are also something worth mentioning. Also the darker element like psychopath and altruist are making the game more hardcore than ever.

And yeah, I also a fan of Metro. Originally played 2033, consider OK but I not don't like their map layout which can lead to clueless dead end from time to time. Metro LL is like an improved and made easier version of it. Redux hadn't tried, but I reckon it should be 2033 with LL mechanics&improvements.

Hmmm, APU with full memory on chip, that's some interesting stuff. Intel's latest attempt with Broadwell with 128MB of onboard RAM as cache netted pretty fantastic result over predecessor.

You are absolutely right..i cant recall how many times i replayed the old splinter cell series and nfs most wanted...altho i loved gta v, i dont think im gonna play it back again..dont get me started on watch dogs..

Of all the current games...only back list for me has the highest replay value..waiting to see how underground 3 turns out to be

Think dude u need to look at the review properly.
There were a lot of inconsistency even between 980ti vs titan X

But basically fury x won where no aa or af was used.

You don't need AA when on 4K la.

Anyway I've already tested the Fury X. It's a nice piece of device but the performance is variance is huge when compared to GTX 980 / GTX 980 Ti.
