i need some help guys, i so desperately want to join the N80 club but am being held back!
my friend sold me his N80 from UK, from the 3 network, i went to sungei wang action today and they told me they dont have the software to unlock N80 and i have to wait for quite a while....
So am i stuck now?

If so can some one tell me what 2GB miniSD card i should buy? at least i can use it as an mp3 player.....

yea the IE dun have the I wan... my n80 the firmware stated v4.0632.0.38 which is the IE version firmware.. my phone there dun have the I wan oso...

Anyone has tried using the barcode reader application which can be downloaded on Nokia website? I can't get it installed, can someone tell me why?

My is N80 IE, firmware is v4.0632.0.38

hmm... can anyone tell me how to remove the themes? coz i duno how remove it.. and how copy the installer from the nokia mmc to the another mmc? coz i want to install the IE application on it... paiseh

sorry for the late reply... it is written n80i at the top left.. i saw the display set on the counter... try checking it out if u are at pyramid..

u talking about N80? Well N80 doesn't use mmc but miniSD..
Go to application manager then u can remove it..

i suggest you to get those high(er) speed miniSD like those Transcend 80x 2GB miniSD.its retailing at rm110 at lowyat plaza.unless you want to save money and aren't really bothered about the speed then you can just get the normal ones eg Kingston for rm65

so i take this that the IE's latest firmware is v4.0632.0.38? all 3 n80i users have the same fw including me

its very easy.lets say if you have a wireless router at home,just open up your web browser and choose the access point when they ask you to.it'll scan all available networks including 3G,GPRS/EDGE and wifi then just select the wireless connection and enter the password if there is one

they should.. there are so many things that they do not know.. and there is not point asking endless questions. the reason there are some many pages in this thread is because ppl keep on asking the same question. why not take some effort to read it through? it might take time.. but.. u'll get a better understanding on ur phone..

Agreed...i myself read from the 1st page b4 buying my lovely N80.Some ppl they only read the first page and then just jumped to the last page and there u go...neverending questions and answers.Patiently browse urself to read all the pages and it would help u guys...believe me

Hey guyz.I've noticed that there's slightly more lag when using a theme stored in a memory card rather then in the phone's memory.anyone feels the same ?

yea.. thats why i install my themes in my phone memory, as it doesnt take up much space anyways.. and when you install the theme on the phone memory, you can skip the hassle of changing back to the theme you want after removing the memory card.

I search and search finally 1 day i found an article at wikipedia.. it wrote about n80 and n80i.. it said that n80 and n80i at hardware had not any different except the software that come with.. mean if we bought n80 and upgrade to n80i it got no different?

1-can we open multiple browser when using the WLAN to surf net?

2-If I use opera mini as web browser, can we still surf via WLAN or opera mini can only be used with GPRS?

1- i dont think we can open multiple browsers when using WLAN/EDGE/GPRS.

2-Yes, you can use opera mini as a web browser using WLAN.

M having problem with my N80. Its like when im overflow with sms just now, suddenly the phone gt jammed like that. they after few minutes i keep pressing cancel button, then i off and switch on again. The odd thing is i lost all my sms, 500++ sms geez.. and its very important. M not sure if the memory card crash or what. My sms were saved into my memory cards and so are the pics in the gallery. Pics in the gallery was still there. but no sms at all inside my inbox. geez.. can any1 tell me whats the problem? thanks ya..

most are actually not newbies, having been forumming for some time... just new N80 owners.

Do ask questions or should u encountered problems not covered in previous posts.
